I have to think that Wednesday is his project and he strikes me as someone who would want to build something of his own. He knows he's good and that he can go far. By adopting a club down on its fortunes like us and taking us forward he is showing the world what he can do. I think he will stay until he hits a ceiling, obviously he's realised that's where he is now. New owners like these would lift that ceiling considerably so he could carry on his work and get us promoted. It'd be ******** hilarious if new owners gave him a massive warchest and we went up in their first season in charge. DC would be seething. Edited May 17 by pixelpaint64 1 1 1 1
Tollertonowl Posted May 17 Posted May 17 We are making progress under Danny with a poor team so whatever happens he should be given a with a bit of cash to see what he can do, which IMO was Chansiris biggest mistake by getting rid of Stu Gray....
Buzz Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Home form was really quite terrible this year so if we get new owners? Who knows!
catdog1121 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I think Danny would need help especially on the recruitment side but he does seem to get the best out of a team so 100% would want him to stay IF and thats a massive IF the rumour is true.. How disappointed is everyone going to be if the rumour is not true now though?
The Dog Posted May 18 Posted May 18 100% yes. It would be amazing. Anyone saying no because he has disrespected the fans / club etc is an absolute idiot. 2
McRightSide Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I’m not sure in all honesty He is so emotionally disconnected that I think we wouldn’t see anything like the best of him I think this is a bit like the Forestieri situation. Therefore I guess my answer is no, regardless of a takeover we should sell him to the highest bidder whilst the hype is high 1
Deluded Owl Posted May 18 Posted May 18 The headline from Nixon’s X page is ‘Röhl Trouble Rocks Owl’s Staff’. Also looking at the betting markets, he doesn’t look the shoo-in for Southampton or Leicester that he once did. This has the hallmarks of being a total balls up of a Summer once again. Over to you Mr Chairman.

There is tough competition as DC has made so many. For me, appointing Carlos is up there. That CV and absence of success were huge red flags. Its was such a critical appt at a really key time which despite some good footy and results at times, just didn't work out. Everything got blown in those first two seasons trying to get promoted and we have never recovered. If we had gone up in that first season things would have been so different.
