SiJ Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Just now, areNOTwhatTHEYseem said: Very few managers are these days. I just can't take issue with him wanting away from Chansiri when we all know what he's like. He almost made Darren Moore, 'the nicest man in football', crack! He did. I'm just not sure the question is as black and white as some consider it to be.
London_Owl Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Absolutely. I'm not sure he'd want to stay still though. And I think new owners will want their own man

swfc1983 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 If takeover happens then I would definitely keep Danny as head coach and hopefully we will implement all the things he wants (ie. Sporting director, CEO) around him to allow him to concentrate on what he’s good at..coaching. Leave the transfer side to the sporting director obviously with his input and booking hotels to the CEO. It’s how proper clubs operate and we should be no different. 2 1

I dunno - I just think any smart new owners would look at the big picture, realise what an asset Röhl is given the job he's done under Captain Chaos' leadership, and be keen to keep him. And as much as it looks like it'll be too late too keep him, I suspect Röhl would love to stay and see what he can achieve working with competent owners. The anti-Röhl briefings that have been shared by certain posters on here and Twitter in recent weeks are as see-through as they are misguided. 2
PoppycockWednesday Posted May 16 Posted May 16 22 minutes ago, millomowl said: Yes, non negotiable. Haha Let's try this out. We will buy your club, turn you into a proper giant in the game, proper infrastructure, proper stadium, academy everything. Invest massively in the squad and develop relationship with the fanbase. Basically everything you could want. But we don't want Danny Röhl. Do you agree? We can just buy Watford if not.
TodwickOwl Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I don’t agree with how he has acted, but thinking about it further - has he done it to force a sale through he potentially might know about? He’s a club asset, tells DC he will leave unless he sells the club on - or he knows the club is up for sale under NDA and is making these moves to push DC into a quicker sale?
briggowl Posted May 16 Posted May 16 He's not left, he's our manager, if the deal got sorted in the next month there's no reason to not trust Danny with the resources to get SWFC promoted. IMO there's no disrespect and the fickle (In the main hypocritical) people need to get over it! 1

leftpeg Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Yep he only said what we all were saying, but with a bit more of a platform to be heard. Maybe his come and get me plea was for the club not him. Chancer gone, Danny still here is the best outcome we could hope for. 1 2
oh_weds_we_love_you Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I want him to stay... as Hansi Flick's assistant again. 1
mozzy85 Posted May 16 Posted May 16 100%. His interests align with ours. We want to be successful, he wants to grow and become successful and get to the top level. I'd love to see what he can do with a proper support structure and proper infrastructure at the club plus a few bob to spend. However we've got one major cockwomble road block to navigate. Take the money Chumpsiri and feck off. 2 2

Yes, 100%. anyone who can get a tune out of our team, when all hope was lost and get them top half under the this half cocked regime is the man for the job under new ownership. 1 2
