Brilliant player for Wednesday. The best midfielder we had in the 1980s.

I know Shezza signed for us late in 1989 but Stretch played far more games in the 80s than Shezza did.

Good player alongside megson in the side I enjoyed watching most .

Yeah fantastic day out on the old football special, plod escort right through the town to the ground,a bit naughty ,Geordies Chucking cable reels off rooves at us,balm pots !!

Good fun days out ,always loads of Wednesdayites away from home as usual.

I don't think it was the crowds they get now though,Geordies were the same size as us, would there have been more than 18k ? At the game.

Magic player, great engine on him. Could run and run all day

Top player,him Terry and Banno were my favourites around the time,give or take a few years.
