So Leicester Part Company with Rowett after making a change during the season as now do Oxford with Bloomfield after also parting company with Rowett during the season.

However the team at the bottom of the table with the manager that both started and finished the season in charge elect to keep him in position.

Which team has got it right and which team has got it wrong. Interesting calls to say the very least.

Changing managers does not guarantee success, sometimes it works, often it does not. Arise believe that HP is the right man, and I will support HP in his role.

Look at all the clubs in the pyramid that over many years have underachieved, and generally not been run very well and see how many managers they’ve sacked.

Then look at all the well run clubs, who’ve achieved relative success over a number of years and look at how many managers they’ve sacked.

You’ll start to notice a theme.

Shall we call this out for what it is? Yet another 'Pederson Out' thread......

If it was I would’ve titled it Pedersen Out, wouldn’t I have Roy. Bottom line is the 2 teams that have come down to League 1 with us both made managerial changes during the season plus have decided to make a change during the close season. We have for whatever reason decided not to. If you’d read one of my earlier posts in another thread which you obviously haven’t then you’d have seen that I’m very much prepared to

wait and see what happens. So while I’m doing that you kindly carry on taking potshots at posters who believe it or not disagree with your point of view 😘

Perhaps the club now recognises that chopping and changing a manager and coaching team (entourage) - then chopping and changing again, and again... does not necessarily improve results on the pitch (with the same set of players at least).

Impatience/fan pressure usually wins through and social media fuels it more than ever.

I lumped on Rowett to get Leicester promoted when he took over there. Someone on here tipped him strongly and now I’ve got to live on bread and water for the rest of the summer.

3 English clubs all relegated from the championship yes. But. All very different clubs, in different situations.

I'm not sure what the point is in trying to compare what Oxford and Leicester have or haven't done with their manager/coaching set up with what we have or havent done with ours?

What are we trying to achieve? Another HP out thread but with a different title?

If it sounds like I'm taking a pot shot at you, then I offer my apologies. But lets be honest - your opinions on Pedersen are well known. If you have recently posted that we should "wait and see", then I missed that. But it's a definite change in tone from the several months in which you continually put HP down.

Given your history on the subject, starting a thread on why two of the relegated sides sacked their managers but one (us) didn't seems to me like an attempt to revive the argument. If you're prepared to "wait and see what happens" then it seems unnecessary.

Obviously you're entitled to your opinion, but given that Pedersen is still here and has been endorsed by a number of senior figures in and around the new regime, perhaps the whole discussion about whether or not he should be sacked should be parked for a while?

Apology accepted. The post I’ve referred to is in the recalibration thread.

The reason I brought this up is I’m absolutely astonished at Oxford’s decision to sack Bloomfield as let’s be honest of all the relegated teams they’re probably the one most likely to return to the championship at the first attempt. Maybe the chance of that is questionable now?

I’ve listened to a lot of Simon Wilson interviews since he was first linked with us a month or so ago. I’ll be honest he impresses me with his insight and philosophy and if he thinks Pedersen is a good choice to take us forward then I’m prepared to wait and see.

That said there is a nagging doubt for me that due to the new rules that include managerial costs in the budget and due to Pedersen’s contract that he is currently serving we can’t afford to sack him even if the powers that be wanted to?

If I’m wrong as I’ve said many times before then I’ll hold my hand up but I very much doubt that yourself and the rest of the Pedersen tub thumpers will do the same if you prove to be wrong but we’re at the start of a New Era which could potentially be something special so I’m going to park my views on Pedersen for now or until we’ve lost the first game of the season 🤣🤣🤣
