Maidstone Owl Posted June 9 Posted June 9 You are a good guy Trev and we are all with you during this very sad time for you. We spoke offline, of course. But many of us are here for you (a quick direct message will do) if you are feeling like a chat, in person or phone, chew the fat, a cafe coffee (or tea!) or a pub pint etc. This is the Wednesday Family, afterall. Together through thick, thicker and occasionally (but very rarely) thin! 3 WE'RE ALL WEDNESDAY AREN'T WE

the_vinyl_frontier Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Thinking of you Trev, at such a hard time. Hope you're thinking of all the good time and happy memories. Take care you yourself. WAWAW 2
Another Owler Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I know we don’t know each other trev, but if you fancy ‘boring’ someone else, I’m happy to listen. Feel free to send me a DM. I know it’s easy to worry that you’re saying the same things to the same people and panic about them losing time or patience with you. Been there - got the t-shirt. But don’t let that stop you talking and going through all those thoughts and stories. Fresh pair of ears here if you need them. 1

I've not lost my wife, but my dad passed a couple of years back, felt like I'd lost everything, and my mum was really lonely for a long while. It's easy to say it, and many will have said it to you, but I think it gets better, times a great healer mate. My mum still talks about my dad like he's still here, but she's found other things to take her attention and fill the gap. 2
gazzamk2 Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Look after yourself mate. Losing a loved one isn't easy, but don't keep it in, keep talking, it helps 2
Hodgyowl Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Don't bottle it up trev, I lost my dad my nan and best mate in the space of a few months, eventually I had bereavement counselling its a life saver mate it really got me through the dark times which were many, god bless brother always here for a chat in person or a dm. 1

The feeling sort of becomes almost a nice one in time, but always bittersweet of course. Thinking of you. Worth bearing in mind also that experiencing feelings of loneliness now, in your circumstances, is in itself a lovely and profound tribute/testament to the two of you. Plenty of people feel pretty lonely while still together, so well done to both of you. 1
punkyhorrors Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Hope you're doing well, mate. I'm so sorry for your loss. We will do what wednesday fans do well, which is look after each other, hug brother 1
