Was thinking about this thread yesterday!

 

Was a depressing read last summer.

 

Got a very good feeling it will be different this time though.

 

I reckon we've got irons in the fire with free agents already and we'll get rumours pretty soon.

The new set up have shown they have their heads screwed in and solid business acumen so I have to agree with this

I think it's key we go early this year for the spine of the team. So many to bring in we need the core to be available for the first day of pre season training.

Perversely these total rebuild summers are always the most exciting as a fan. With 20 new players coming in there’s bound to be some 19 year olds from European lower leagues with some bizarre YouTube highlight reel for us all to get over excited about.

Need prem youths….can make a name for themselves at teams like us

Bannan, Grealish, Bale and Vardy. Need a bit of experience. Be a nice start that. Balance age of squad with some younger lads. Pretty sure they’ll be on our radar and within budget……

Yep. 

 

I know you can't pick and choose what order the players sign, but we really could do with having a solid foundation in place early this summer.

 

The players to add the 'x factor' can come later (and will probably be loans, I'd imagine), but I really want a well-drilled, solid team ready to hit the ground running in game one.

We can get what would be like 3 new signings for nothing if we get Bernard Brown and Weaver back fully fit. That would be a great start.

Tis refreshing compared to last season, that I am looking fwd to recruitment this summer, But it would be great if we can keep certain players from this season, like Chalobah, M Lowe, Svante, add to that the names already mentioned who are injured, and it gives us a decent platform to build on.

I think the most important signing this Summer would be tying down Charles to a new contract, hopefully Arise can sell their ambitions for the club to him.

Would love t’keep Svante but think he’ll stay in t’Championship.
