BREAKING: Grimsby Town join the SWFC boycott

[@owlstalk]

The Mariners Trust Board recently connected with the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust after the draw was made for the next round of the cup.

The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust are continuing their campaign to protest the mismanagement of their club and are asking home fans to boycott the game.

They've reached out to us and asked for our support. In solidarity with their cause, the travelling Mariners are encouraged to join the boycott by refraining from buying any pints, pies, or other items inside the stadium.

They would also appreciate it if our fans wore last season's yellow shirt to show our support for their black and gold campaign.

Football clubs belong to their communities and must be protected from poor ownership and management.

Fantastic.

Brilliant. I love how others clubs are stepping up to help us

It’s humbling when other clubs are supporting us.

Amazing stuff.

It also makes me immensely happy that everyone is sticking it to chancer and not just us.

This is fantastic news. It just goes to show how football fans can put differences to one side when it comes to preserving the game we all love. Afterall, without other clubs, what is football?!

[Swanwick Owl]

Let's hope if/when it's all over for us, we remember what some clubs have done/are doing and if they need support in anyway "We are there for them too."

This support, not just from Grimsby, but Wrexham, Bolton & Leicester, needs to be remembered when this is all over.

Any new owners could score an easy big win by doing something for those travelling fans the next time they visit Hillsborough.

And also by chucking buckets of pi55 at Leeds fans.

Grimsby seem a decent club. Their players totally outplayed Man U so it’ll be a tough task on the pitch for us too.

I get it now, Harry Amass was sent with 'One job' Make Grimsby dont make it to the next round. (I know this is Oddjob)

Well done Grimsby.
