Boycott Grimsby Game

Easy pass. Absolutely no disrespect to Grimsby.

 

It’s not a derby game, it’s not a Premier League team.

 

The players know why the fans are boycotting. They know they are supported.

This is different to the draw - the draw has been made and needs it's own thread in my opinion.

You’re taking the ******** but the reality of the cost of football these days means that for some fans, especially ones with kids these cheap ticket game ARE the ones that they can afford to take in

 

I’m lucky I can afford a Season Ticket and get to watch as many games live as I can get tickets for, many aren’t always in that situation, I have been so myself in the past so sneering at other fans without knowing individual circumstances is classless in my view.

 

I will be boycotting the Grimsby game but won’t criticise anyone who chooses not too

I respect everybody has their own situation, my post was made half tongue in cheek in anticipation of what to expect.

 

What I can't get my head around is all these people choosing to stay away, some that have never missed a game for years and years yet it's seemingly too much to ask for some that just want a day/evening out with their kids? Like there aren't so many other things to do for the price and even less than? We'd all love to start attending games again but the harsh reality is there is likely to be no club for any of us if we keep this bloke ticking over - Is it worth losing the club over going to watch our under 21's play Grimsby Town or Leeds reserves? The tickets may be cheaper but what about when you add in the cost of food, drink and items from the club store?

 

I know the 'what about away fans buying tickets' argument is going to come around again so I'll go on record as saying in an ideal world we'll be having a total boycott soon enough to see Dejphon starved of all income.
