When I think of Waddle it still baffles me he scored 10 goals. I'm my head he scored at least 8 or 9 every year. Children's brains really are a fantasy factory. Obviously his contributions came elsewhere.

The 'Legend' debate is always an interesting one to observe

It brings haters like moths to a flame if you ever dare suggest a player is a legend or not

No one of sound mind can disagree that Bannan is a club legend.

The talk would be all about goal involvements and chances created nowadays and Waddle would be off the scale

For sure. 19 assists for us. That feels like it should be more. I think 12 of those were in that "waddle game" against Villa. I make joke.

138 matches

15 goals

19 assists

No red cards

In all comps. A great player for us. His Marseille and Spurs stats are, as the kids would say. Lit...

His leadership during difficult times and going beyond the call of duty seal it as much as any footballing ability. In an era where players will simply follow the best option on paper, he’s from a bygone era

Bannan is a legend, no debate, he has been exemplary from start to finish  throughout his Wednesday career, in every department!
