Popular Post asteener1867 Posted August 17, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 17, 2025 Haven't been on for a bit lads and lasses, had a shocking bereavement last month...My son aged 36 died of a heart attack in NGH...Some on here might have known him as"Steeno" forget his Owlstalk name...he didn't post much. He went on all the protest marches etc, but wouldn't stop going to Hillsborough, cos I dragged him there since he was 3 yrs old. Saturday wasn't about protests for me, it wasn't about Chansiri, it wasn't even about Sheffield Wednesday, it was about looking at an empty seat and remembering. So Saturday was about him, everyone around us have been in the same seats on The Kop for years, and I found some comfort in the sympathy and goodwill of all of them, every other home game will be about him, win , lose or draw His lovely wife now takes his seat for this season, his kids will sit next to me...and I ain't EVER giving those seats away....because as much as we all love Sheffield Wednesday, some things are more important, far more important, but The Wednesday are part of that. The whole family are going to boycott the Leeds game, mainly cos it means Jack anyhow....but Saturday was as hard for me as his funeral was..and when that first Stoke goal went in...I could hear him laughing. For the folk around me on me..who are on here and know me and knew him....You were f.ooking brilliant the other afternoon...and it honestly helped. Its gonna be hard for me to take the current problems that SWFC find themselves in at the moment seriously, and I know its all relative to whats just happened So if I'm on here, and I come across as bit of a tw *t...bear with me....I hope to get better 294 1
