prowl Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I'd like to see him fit first, then we can see if he still has something to offer. There's no doubting he was a good player in his day but like Bannan he's getting on for a footballer and at some stage age will catch up with him. On the other hand his experience might be enough for him to be anasset to held guide young defenders around him and help them stay calm under pressure. Watching him play a couple of games when he is fit will soon let us assess him. 1 1
Popular Post areNOTwhatTHEYseem Posted 6 hours ago Popular Post Posted 6 hours ago We've got super Cooper playing for the Wednesday Tackling everyone Clearing balls for fun I'd like to see him in League One 1 1 23

Paul.. Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Hopefully he can help Otegbayo really develop because he looked so comfortable on the ball yesterday and some of his vision and passing out of defence was absolutely superb, it's just the defensive reading side you worry about with him. 1 3
Owls Loyal Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Liam Cooper has started well in my view. and looks decent in what they used to call the "second centre half" role. Bernard when fit can also fill that role well too. What I think we desperately need though is a tall imposing Centre Back in the 6 ft 3inch + bracket. Helik would have been good but that ship has sailed as we all know that C was not prepared too spend any money. I found conceding goals from corners so easily yesterday soul destroying. 1

His passing was good enough yesterday, although I'd not go so far as to call it ‘absolutely superb’. His basic use of the ball from the back has never been the problem, though, that, like you say, his defensive reading is. Otherwise, he's made a couple of passing errors in his appearances, but no more than any of our other defenders.
HandsworthOwl Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago A back 3 option of Cooper, Bernard, and Weaver is miles ahead of what we have at the moment. 1

They had 3 corners yesterday and scored off 2 of them.
island owl Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Cooper also organises the defence, something we have not had in a while
onslow Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Is it me or do our centre half’s just seem to get way more injuries now than they used to. Football isn’t even as physical as it used to be. Appreciate cooper is experienced, but we need players that have no fitness doubts and can play 40 games a season without doubt
OwususFirstTouch Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Cooper was always going to have fitness issues coming in off the back of a few months without playing, that's unfortunately the circumstances we find ourselves in. Need to see a bit more of him before signing him up for next season, although I agree he's the type on paper that would serve us very well in the league below.
