Weird thing to care about, who cares how many were left at the end

It’s something else to bicker about that we should just move on from.

Feels like everyone is getting caught up on their own opinion being right. We’re all guilty of it occasionally but we need to end the “if you don’t do this / that / this then you’re not a top level fan”

There is something cringeworthy about grown men fighting, outside of professional boxing etc.

Let's hope the aggressor is charged (and banned).

SIgn of the times unfortunately.

Applies not just to football matches but many other things.

We are expected to have black and white opinions on everything.

There is no mediating or impartial stance and no tolerance if someone has a different view.

It's a case of "I'm right and I am entitled to throw punches to confirm that"

Are the stewards trained to deal with violent altercations?

I assume most stewards are on minimum wage with the most basic of training ?

telling that the club is advertising for;

Matchday Operative

Turnstile Operator

Fire Marshall

Traffic Stewards

Yet there's no job description or role profile outlining what the jobs actually involve. Chancer quite rightly gets the blame for what he's done to our club, but we've an HR Manager & EDI Board Representative in place - (Louise Carpenter) staggering that in 2025 the club can approach recruitment in this way.

Do arrest rates go up and down in relation to our position in the league?

Maybe..sure there were some arrest stats for matchs by club per fan and seemed to be some high stats in the lower leagues 1 and 2, maybe cyclical though most clubs had their share of idiots early 80s to 90s calmed down and a resugance of Asb in all general inc football.

CCTV helped initially now young uns dont seem to care and post it.

Is that when the 4 stewards ran along the front of the North stand? Maybe they were the tactical response team.

Last tactical response team I saw had a girl who must have weighed 30 stone who would just stare the pepetrator into submission.

True story.

I mean 3 out of the 4 roles are pretty self explanatory, not sure how much more info people would need. But regardless, it's not really that staggering considering the way the club has been run for the last 10 years or especially the last 6 months, nor given the club is currently being run under extraordinary measures by administrators.

Hopefully the new owners will get to grips with the basics day 1 and we can all choose to moan about football related stuff instead.

What I find sad is no other fans at least tried to step in and stop it. I can imagine some would rather film it on their phone. I understand people don't want to risk their own safety, but if everyone intervened as one, it would be more persuasive and impactful (and I don't mean with violence as a form of retaliation).

As other posters have already eluded to, we have some absolute morons who follow us (as do other clubs I know) but we seem to be attracting more and more. Its as if some people are using our current plight as an excuse to act like neanderthals and generally behave like scumbags.

Handbags at best...🤣

It was a sickening sight. Try to make a joke out of it if you want, but there was nothing funny about it.

Problem with these instances is the differences in versions of events. In this thread we've heard the bloke in the coat was both the aggressor and the victim and its been insinuated he might be a domestic abuser.

The problem with having meat head doorman style stewards are that they can often exacerbate the situation with over the top violent responses. I think it was a few years ago at Sunderland that we saw that.

Did DC upgrade the cctv before he left?
