The whole situation makes an absolutely mockery of the competition.

For the EFL this is the aim - absolute punishment if you are an owner that breaks the rules. They care not about the actual competition itself. Or the fans.

It seems that way.

They just wanted to make sure something turned up every weekend to fulfill the fixture.

We need at least 10 new players between now and the start of next season

Too much change for this season to matter that way.

Need more than 10 when you factor in all of the out of contract players who will leave

we are going to need nearer 20 I think

There can be a hangover which spills into new seasons when teams struggle for results every week. And it's an absolute certainty that these results will continue throughout the season.

The players mentally will be done long before the end of the season (I think many are very close to the brink at the moment tbh), and so it's something that could be a real issue for us next season.

However, what will help is the fact that pretty much the entirety of the squad is out of contract...and those that we might want to keep, won't entertain playing in League One. We'll be forced into a complete, from top-to-bottom rebuild. So that hangover will hopefully be minimised by lots of fresh blood, and a recruitment strategy that ensured we get the right blend of experience and youth.

Wet have a reasonable championship starting 11. It should be performing a lot better than it is. We have an awful manager who is way out of his depth.

We obviously have no way of replacing him in the short term so we're just going to have to put up with this crap, but this team should not be facing a frankly embarrassing points total. We're better than this.

There's certainly going to be a losing culture going into next season that we're going to have to try and change.

Any team that gets relegated has a losing culture. Its why you get relegated.

The clever bit is having the winning mentality with a driven manager to get you back up.

Not necessarily, not all teams that get relegated do so losing every week which is what we're on course to do providing January doesn't bring the option to add to the squad. Most teams that go down actually have a moment during the season where it looks like they might avoid the drop, obviously the point deductions will prevent that from happening for us.

Would you trust Pedersen to get us back up at the first time of asking?

Getting quite nostalgic, feels like 74/75 season!

Pity the music these days is utter sheite!

Genuinely not judging any of the players.... any of the management... or any of the supporters who are turning up.

Just really concerns me how much damage getting beat week after week after week is doing in the long term.

This

which is why I don’t understand some of the fanbase saying ‘HP not up to it, needs sacking at first opportunity’ blah blah blah

completely bonkers fanbase atm

Really we have on today's team -

Valery

Amass

Bannan

Maybe at a push

Ingelsson

Palmer

Rest at the very best should be squad players at this level.

but I’d hope when we get new owners, over the summer they’ll be replacing the manager, coaching staff and the vast majority of the players we have at the club.

Whoever comes in should use Xmas to the end of the season to get everyone ready for next season...make sure that the plans are in place and that the supporters feel part of them...it should be like shooting fish in the barrel or...in football terms like doing a Wrexham

Agreed.

The only advantage we have over the other sides at the foot of the Championship and the top of League 1 this season is we actually already know what league we’ll be in next season already so can start preparing where as they don’t yet.

Hopefully we can start the rebuild in January with some new additions under new owners

Best thing we can do. We're going down, but at least go down on good form
