Popular Post shandypants Posted yesterday at 17:40 Popular Post Posted yesterday at 17:40 I know I’ll probably get criticised and ridiculed for starting this thread but we can’t let our attendances drop and we need as many fans as possible in the ground to ensure the potential new owners keep focus. While walking back to my car from the match today, I scrolled through the Matchday thread and I saw that there were lots of fans in posting in that thread that I’m guessing weren’t at the game - it’s nigh on impossible to get a signal in Hillsborough during matches. There was one particular prominent OwlsTalker in that thread that was talking the moral high ground a few months ago claiming he’d sacrificed going to the match as his contribution to rid us of Chansiri but it very much appears that he wasn’t there today and I don’t think he’s been since Chansiri left. i just want to say that the club needs you now. 2 1 23
Popular Post The_Ghost_Of_91 Posted yesterday at 17:44 Popular Post Posted yesterday at 17:44 I get what you say but it was painful again today. Freezing cold and losing again at home. Plus after the shambles of losing by a record score to the pigs. Weary doesn't fully describe it. Maybe there'll be a boost with the new owner but this season is dead. I can't blame anyone for not going. 1 10
modboy Posted yesterday at 17:44 Posted yesterday at 17:44 (edited) Honestly don’t know how the club can get pay on the gate customers post Xmas. Probably need to drop it to say twenty quid for adults and a quid for kids Edited yesterday at 17:45 by modboy 7

The kiosks will still do well. Got served pretty quick today so they getting that right. 1 1
modboy Posted yesterday at 17:48 Posted yesterday at 17:48 Just need to attract potential season ticket holders for next season plus maximise secondary spend. 2

andrew1974 Posted yesterday at 17:50 Posted yesterday at 17:50 They’ve had my money. Why should I be forced to sit through that every week? 4
SiJ Posted yesterday at 17:51 Posted yesterday at 17:51 How would you know if someone hasn't been back since Chansiri left?

Fair enough. Tbf, you don't know the exact reasons why people haven't attended though. Could be finances, personal reasons or, quite frankly, they can't be arsed. We obviously had that initial surge after Channers f*cked off, but it's going to be difficult to sustain that when we are getting beat every single game.

UpGrahamHydesSleeve Posted yesterday at 18:02 Posted yesterday at 18:02 Unfortunately I think threads like this only really create friction and division. Some people can’t afford to go, others don’t have the time due to other commitments, others just don’t want to because of the quality of the product. Calling people out who decide not to go doesn’t really help. 6
Avon barksdale Posted yesterday at 18:05 Posted yesterday at 18:05 Today’s attendance was poor. So many fans said they were only not going because of the previous owner, seems like they were lying. Or only came back for the Norwich and pigs games. Let’s hope the attendance won’t detract anyone looking to bid or affect staff wages and they come back for the Boxing Day game. 1 2

People should attend if they can, but it’s not easy. I do hope any new owner already knows what we can be as you can’t put a measurement on the suffering we’ve had as a fanbase. I wasn’t there today and I knew it’d be unlikely I’d make it but I did buy a membership, so I guess my seat was empty but the club still got money from me - hopefully a new potential owner knows that these are exceptional circumstances, if not, they’re a bit daft
