Cads has scored goals at every level on his way to the first team. He was a good finisher at every level. He's been pushed on beyond his true level buy he was scoring 1 in 4 at Lincoln in L1 last year. That's not bad as a 19 y.o.  He will be 21 by the time we get there so he might do better than that. Don't give up on him yet and don't expect too much too soon.

I do see him as having potential. Good with the ball. Finds space well. Some nice close control. Drags defenders anway from where they should be.  Offers forward running players options. 
 

He should be a revelation in L1, if given the service. 

I’d need to see him to it A LOT more regularly before we start talking about revelations but on today’s showing I’ll absolutely concede there’s at least some potential there if he can repeat today’s efforts more often. Whether he can remains to be seen but he at least showed a bit of something today. It’s one good outing against numerous poor ones but all power to his elbow. He’s set a standard now, go out and do it again. 
 

Possibly an odd comment after two goals but I’m not really sure he’s an out and out striker. His link play was probably his strongest point today.

If Bannan had wanted to take the penalty he would have done. It was Inglesson who actually had the ball though and he passed it to McNeill.

I don’t think, I know. I have eyes, I saw it. What do you think all that fuss with the ball was before it was taken?  Pedersen even confirmed in his post match interview that there are three designated penalty takers, and that McNeil is not one of them.  This is a professional football team. Unless we were numerous goals up, the designated taker should always be taking the pens. Judging from his comments I suspect Pedersen will be gently making that point this week.

For me it’s not so much his finishing. As you say, he’s scored pretty consistently at most levels for a young player. What worries me is the seeming absence of growth in his wider game. When he first came in he was a proper kid and very lightweight, so it was totally understandable that he wasn’t winning headers, leading the line, etc. Two years on though he’s bulked up considerably but he’s still not showing any signs of being able to link play. He keeps getting caught under high balls and doesn’t seem to know how to ether play with his back to goal or run the channels. It’s something he’s going to have to figure out if he’s going to stick.

Him and Cadamartiri will be ruthless next season for us.    

We don't have much to celebrate right now but I think these two will be bright lights next season, so give them as much playing time this season as possible.

The designated penalty taker is Bannan, the captain. McNeil may well have wanted it for his hat trick but it’s about the team. Even if Bannan had missed, McNeill would be sat at home tonight thinking he’d had a great game, whereas he’s now at home knowing his miss cost us the game.

If Bannan is the designated penalty taker, then why was Inglesson waiting to take it before handing the ball to McNeill?

I have eyes too and I saw Ingelsson waiting with the ball in his hand before passing it to McNeill.

Ugbo was shot well before that penalty … it was unforgivable of bannan / windass to give him that pen you could see what was coming a mile off … then to throw the game away in the second half when we should have been out of sight. Another occurrence at hillsborough when we the fans take a boot in the nuts due to the players decision making or lack of 

I don’t know.

The poacher role has largely vanished from the game. You have to be really really good at it these days if you can’t contribute a lot physically.
