I said to my mate today, bout time McNeil was given a chance, he'll score today you watch

After 2nd went in she said, did you put a bet on

I said, no I wasn't that confident 😂

I do think there's a decent player in there though

It was madness to let him take the penalty as tonight he'll be feeling dreadful...and he's scored two goals.

He's worth a place in the starting line up but he'd do even better as a striker if we played a proper two up top

Brown cadamatteri and Charlie next season will be interesting.

I’d like to see Brown and McNeill play together this season.  Cadz is really struggling, unfortunately this level seems above him right now but this is where he’s got to be which is no fault of his own.

Hopefully next season he will find some form. But his finishing hasn’t been great this season

You wouldn't even have started this thread if he hadn't scored twice today though. 5 league goals in his career and after a decent half of football you're proclaiming he's going to tear the league apart next year.  How well did he do after the last time he scored two early goals in a game?

This is a *sigh* moment.

I've seen a bit in him in recent games - This lad has something about him, yes he is not showing it fully right now but I can easily see he has it in him and he will come good.

Hopefully the penalty won't have the Ugbo effect and kill his confidence

Well McNeill has done something Ugbo hasn’t done in ages. Score. Deserves a long run in the team now . Ugbo should lose his bench place to Moses and then Brown when he is back. Let’s find out what we have. We know what Ugbo is

McNeill’s performance today was a mirror image of his entire career with us.

Decent start, couple of goals…….absolutely nothing after that

I think time will show Cadz is easily our best finisher, but unfortunately he’s allround game is largely terrible so unless there’s someone to create chances for him then he’s going to struggle to affect games

Struggles to maintain his focus in games.

Was superb in the first half, and though he saw enough of the ball even in the second half, the passes just weren't ever as crisp, or he'd hold onto it just a bit too long.

The penalty miss did for him, but he'd already gone right off the boil by then anyway.

Still, the positives were the first half, so I just hope he can build from there.

He will be top goalscorer in L1 next season for us - I'll tell you now.

Him and Cadamartiri will be ruthless next season for us.

We don't have much to celebrate right now but I think these two will be bright lights next season, so give them as much playing time this season as possible.

I think Cadz level is average league 1 tbh.

TBF it was always his younger brother who was going to be the star hence why he is no longer with us.

He rarely played tbf, but admittedly he looked out of his depth at times last season. I thought he played well at Millwall and today. The way he took his goals and the first at Hull last season suggests a decent finisher.

McNeil played far, far better today and to be honest I was gearing up to come on here and eat a large portion of crow because I’ve been highly critical of him but today he finally showed something, not just the goals but in his general play. Unfortunately he then does the selfish thing taking the penalty off Bannan and really took the gloss of things. Still if he can repeat the wider performance he’s got a chance to contribute.

I think I must be watching a different Cadamarteri to some of you. If Ugbo had turned in the performance he did today he’d have been getting absolute pelters.

Fair play on your comment. I was having a tussle with you the other night when we played Millwall.

However, strikers by their DNA are selfish. Nothing wrong with that.

I do see him as having potential. Good with the ball. Finds space well. Some nice close control. Drags defenders anway from where they should be.  Offers forward running players options.

He should be a revelation in L1, if given the service.
