Popular Post Salmonbones Posted yesterday at 17:34 Popular Post Posted yesterday at 17:34 He will be top goalscorer in L1 next season for us - I'll tell you now. Him and Cadamartiri will be ruthless next season for us. We don't have much to celebrate right now but I think these two will be bright lights next season, so give them as much playing time this season as possible. 4 5 28

Some players are late bloomers - look at Ian Wright or Jamie Vardy. There is a good player in him, it's not hard to spot - and his youth scoring exploits show that too. Good enough? I'd mention Guy Whittingham, started playing football late in life, scored 47 for Pompey after leaving the army. All players mature at different times. 1 1 2
Plonk Posted yesterday at 17:42 Posted yesterday at 17:42 Brown cadamatteri and Charlie next season will be interesting. 1 6
Tom22709 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago McNeill was fantastic first half, when he scored that first you could see him grow in confidence, constantly wanting the ball. Should have been hooked on 60mins though as he was absolutely cooked by that point. Cadamarteri sorry I just don’t see anything in his game to suggest he’ll be a success in league one. We need a new number 9 1 6
malek Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago There is a good player in there, He is intelligent and got good technique, but I would love to see bit more urgency and determination in him. Don't think that He can play as a striker at good level as He is lacking in physicality. Looks like He found his role in bit deeper role, getting to the box late and getting less notion from opposition defenders. 2 1

You wouldn't even have started this thread if he hadn't scored twice today though. 5 league goals in his career and after a decent half of football you're proclaiming he's going to tear the league apart next year. How well did he do after the last time he scored two early goals in a game? 1 2 5
Almat Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) I'm not sure any of our current strikers (with the exception of Brown because I think he's got potential and Ugbo because who would be daft enough to come in for him??) will still be here when we are in L1. That of course depends how committed/monied our new owner is. I think we need better, even in L1. It's not like Cadz whipped up a storm when on loan at Lincoln, is it? Blergh Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago McNeil played far, far better today and to be honest I was gearing up to come on here and eat a large portion of crow because I’ve been highly critical of him but today he finally showed something, not just the goals but in his general play. Unfortunately he then does the selfish thing taking the penalty off Bannan and really took the gloss of things. Still if he can repeat the wider performance he’s got a chance to contribute. I think I must be watching a different Cadamarteri to some of you. If Ugbo had turned in the performance he did today he’d have been getting absolute pelters. 1
deano Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I think Brown's got the most potential out of our young strikers, only one with a decent all round game from what ive seen. 2
WayneTheOwl Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Brown and McNeil. Cadz nowhere near the level of either 2 4

We need a new number 9 Starting to agree with this. That ball that Amass whipped across the face, that’s the ball he should be eating. He should also do better with that one on one. Also doesn’t contribute enough off it. There is still time for him, he’s got quality to work with but and ordinarily he’d still be being brought on gradually. Our strikers are all so passive but that’s the position we’re in and the same could be said about the defence which was again awful today. Unfortunately Haaland and Ruben Dias aren’t available to us at the moment. Maybe next year. 1
Kopparberg Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago McNeill impressed me today. Not sure when he’s contracted to but I think in the league below he could be semi decent. All depends on budget, and allowed recruitment 1
MBMitchell Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I've always liked McNeil, probably after his goals Vs Hull and his scoring past with man u. I can't remember game but I think he dropped 3 clangers and disappeared again. What I would say out of him and cadz, McNeil will play at a better level out of the two.
