I see your point, but I think a Striker being on a hatrick is different to the Ugbo farce.   It would have been disappointing if McNeill didn't want it.

But at least it's a lesson to learn in a free hit season.

I was hoping we would give the penalty to McNeill and no regrets from me. Just my opinion.

The thing is it’s probably knocked his confidence 

He could’ve finished the game with 2 goals and someone could’ve scored that pen and he would’ve been flying

Agreed. Whenever we get a penalty my mind always goes back to the Peterborough game. Ultimate high pressure situation and defenders, midfielders and strikers all scored.

Messi and Ronaldo both miss penalties so it’s never a given that they should be scored 

The only time it’s unacceptable to give a penalty away is if Michael Smith is on your team
