What i can,t understand is the guy who gave the penalty away had already been booked. Surely he should have had a second yellow at least, if not a straight red. Earlier on we should have had another pen when J.Lowe shot and their defender with his hand clearly raised, stopped the ball. I suppose when you are bottom of the league things don,t go for you.

Agree the ref was shìt today

Give up ffs , he’s been playing brilliantly today on fire in front of goal

just a good save

Half agree. I didn't mind him taking it. But it wasn't a good save. The penalty was poor. Too near the middle of the goal

Is it not an option to talk about key incidents in the game on a forum after its finished ? 😆 ...bit like you going to the boozer your telling your mate off and telling him its not for him to talk about the game thats just finished.

Wtf you on about ? I said it’s not any of us supporters decision who peno taker is

the clubs legend or the club manager as decided that he was to take it

was unlucky , the defending cost us not the peno miss

Agree with most, was Bannans to take and if not Bannan it still shouldn't be McNeill just because he'd scored 2.

Surprised Bannan allowed this quite frankly.

I dont think McNeill is Championship standard unfortunately and I really hope I have to eat my words in future.

We don't help ourselves do we.

Think we may have learned after the Ugbo farce last season but alas no.

I know we are going down and pretty much every game we play in this season is meaningless, but it would be nice to pick up a few wins and points.

Bannan should tale it no question.

It was a decent save tho but not a great pen, too much pressure on him too ...that puts us 3-2 up and who knows we would probably have lost 3-4 anyway!

Cannot wait for this season to end .

Not sure Bannans tale would generate required power, could be wrong.

The kids on for his first senior hatrick at this level. Whether it's poor or not, you have to give him the chance to get the hatrick as Club Captain.

A win would have been nice,  but its not going to do us any good this season anyway

More importantly McNeil has two goals today, and in the last two games we never looked like scoring.

Onwards and upwards.

The point is if it's your chosen penalty taker that misses, it's disappointing but not every penalty results in a goal. There's a reason a pen taker is nominated before the game, he's the most likely to score.

Twice we've let sentiment rule heads re penalties to establish a two goal lead, today and Ugbo against Millwall. As a result we got one point out of the six we could have expected. Unprofessional.

Todwick made a valid point thats it .

It when you need you experienced players to show their experience, Bannan or Lowe should have taken it, they will say its giving the lad a chance of a hattrick but that one decision has probably cost us the game, they go straight up the other end and score.

Preston only had 5 shots on target the whole game but scored three times.

Fuming with Bannan, as captain. If our designated pen taker (whoever it was, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been McNeill)  had missed it then fair enough. But that's twice this year we've gone for the "sentimental" penalty when the game is in the balance and both have been missed, almost certainly costing us points in.both games - being adrift and down anyway is irrelevant. Why the fùck he didn't learn from the last time I don't know, but it's on him.
