Beighton Owl 87 Posted yesterday at 14:45 Posted yesterday at 14:45 League 1 won't be as you described it this time. It will be a highly competitive league filled with former prem/champ clubs. With the exception of maybe a Bromley or Salford they will be teams we've come against a fair bit anyway.
mozzy85 Posted yesterday at 14:45 Posted yesterday at 14:45 I’m a little older than you Taz and it kills me not seeing us in the PL for so long. Hate dropping into L1 but it’s not too bad. We generally do well and we see more wins which is always good. One of the best games I’ve ever seen was our semi with Peterborough, that’s football in general too. we might not go up first season (it’s always a 2 year job for us) but it’s the dawn of a new era and hopefully we can go one better and bounce straight back. could be worse. You could support the pigs. 1
Fuzzy logics Posted yesterday at 14:53 Posted yesterday at 14:53 Dont care what division we are in so long as we are competitive and winning games. Hopefully new ownership will develop the infrastructure so we can progress of the field as well as on. We were in the 3rd division when I started going ('78). 1
owlinexile Posted yesterday at 14:55 Posted yesterday at 14:55 JP McGovern, Chris Brunt and Steve MacLean. Awesome playoff final at Cardiff and missing my train home and having to call in sick and brazen it out. Mind the Gap and Huddersfield's as far as I know still ongoing unbeaten run. Kieran Lee being a class above. Darren Moore's 23 game unbeaten run and turning it around (twice!) at the last possible second. Interesting stadiums with character and soul where everything is slightly cheaper. Being ever so slightly removed from all the sportswashing and money laundering and obnoxious TV fans and tourists and other cancers of modern football. Cup runs with zero expectations about not getting turned over by Hartlepool. What's not to like? 7 1
