Pierce Charles close to return

Apparently very close to a return, Great news we've missed him. Not having a go at our current No1 because he's done ok, had some dodgy moments but we need this lad back and hopefully now we can keep him

Will be nice to watch a back pass with a <100bpm

Let’s hope we can keep hold of him next season

First thing I would be doing as new owner is giving Charles a new contract that encourages him to stay for the next 3 years

This. We're down. Keep him progressing, integration with the first team isn't important.

Agree with the consensus regarding not bringing him back too soon. Obviously he isn't as good as Charles but Horvath has done pretty well recently. With the ball at his feet he's a genuine stressor for fans and he doesn't come for the crosses like someone who is 6 and a half foot should do but his shot stopping is pretty spot on imo. 

On a side note, Charles when he does return in goal is going to look even smaller when we've been used to another giant in between the sticks. He's brilliant but in an ideal world it would be great if he was a couple of inches taller.

As if he'd dare show his face at Hillsborough ever again. 

I think it'll be difficult to keep hold of Charles in January tbh.

The good news is he has a contract till 2027 so our wealthy new owners don’t need to accept any cheap bids in January.

Genuinely didn't know that but confirmed by transfermkt. Signed an extension last year 

Can't wait to see him back in action, proper class act! Incredibly lucky to still have him.

Northern Ireland have missed him aswell...they were flying before him  and Shea were injured.
