Popular Post ReginaldD Posted Friday at 20:20 Popular Post Posted Friday at 20:20 It's our first meeting with Smudge and Pol since they departed S6 to cross the pennines in the search of the basic, getting paid each month. Pol has played 10 games so far this season, 8 in the Championship and 2 in the EFL Cup. Smudge has racked up 19 appearance, 17 in the Championship and 2 in the EFL Cup. He's manager score 3, all in the Championship. This isn't the only recent connection between Sheffield and Preston. Preston sponsored by Spud Bro's recently opened a Sheffield store on Fargate. Will they slide through our defence like the fork goes through a jacket potato when it's been cooked just right and the potato has had a little mash with butter. Or will we manage to string a long line of passes together. A longer line of passes than a long bit of cheese when you put your fork into the cheese and beans mix in your potato. In final potato related nonsense that's all hope we can put the final touches on and mash their potatoes *** other jacket potato retailers are available. Dude on the Moor, Proud Potato (Middlewood Road), the Potato Oven (London Road)*** Alternatively there is always the option of buying a potato from the shop and cooking at home. If anyone is struggling in regards how to cook your potato, for expert advice in this specialist subject area see..... https://youtu.be/HyRFIfvhEcA?si=FWxuMSbyzcJzZqir Then add filling of choice and settle down to watch Michael Smith score a double to defeat Mansfield. Thus looking foward to the visits of such illustrious opponents next season https://youtu.be/CFitfv-H5Lg?si=21kJqEXr_D-4eV7p Preston has been famous for other things over the years other than jacket potatoes. For further such genuine history related to our visitors see Cotton in Preston https://share.google/Wgdd7vq9hiEk3965V On the subject of history there are a number of players who have played for both teams. These include such legends as :- - Richard Cresswell - Ross Wallace - Aiden McGeady - Adam Reach - Neil Mellor Now I better write something about the actual game rather than just rambling about potatoes and thinking back to Smudge's goals <SWFC V PRESTON NORTH END> Date: 29th November 2025 Kick off: 1500, 3pm. 54000 seconds into your day/900 minutes into your Saturday- get ready Getting there: After fans had to negotiate their way to Hillsborough without the trams for the derby last Sunday we'll be back to usual for this fixture. The proper naughty element of both fanbases will doff their caps to each and enjoy their refreshments in the pubs rather than gesticulating to each whilst stood on tram tracks. If your passing through the city centre on the way to the game remember to pop by the club pop up shop at the Christmas Market. Directly across from the town hall steps, key rings, drinks flasks and more items are at great prices. Weather: We're forecast light rain for the whole of the afternoon. One for the Macron branded jackets you all bought in the recent kit man's sale. Most likely you'll need your SWFC gloves and bobble hat too. The 6 degrees is forecast to feel like 3 degrees with a gentle breeze from the North West. That and sunset is due at 15.53, it'll be a cold second half and you'll be glad of the layers!! To hear a preview of the game from Pol Valentin and Paul Heckingbottom see https://youtu.be/JgNTi_sFNXA?si=iJjuq54zzzhcn_U4 Henrik's words of wisdom can be heard at https://youtu.be/JgNTi_sFNXA?si=iJjuq54zzzhcn_U4 Nathan Redmond comes into the squad for Wednesday. Whether he'll start or not remains to be seen, what's your thoughts can he add the crispy onion like crunch we need to the side? What your score predictions, line up, will you have a potato or stick to the usual pie/Beres/Chip buttie/sushi, crisps and fanta combo from the Sainsburys meal deal, will you be using the tram? Finally as you slip on your Cotton underpants tomorrow, think of the Lancashire folk in bygone eras who helped get the industry to where it is today 7 1 13
Lowry Posted Friday at 21:38 Posted Friday at 21:38 1-0 wednesday win Cadamarteri with a cool finish Ugbo off to Job Centre 6
Almat Posted Friday at 22:14 Posted Friday at 22:14 According to transfermkt Smith is currently scoring at a rate of 1 goal per 830 minutes but it wouldn't surprise me if he pops up with a goal tomorrow. It's the Wednesday way

How do you mean Preston aren't all that? They've only lost 4 out of 17 league games. Do you know something we don't? Wednesday aren't finding the Championship pizza poor, are they? 1

Hootsman Posted yesterday at 08:36 Posted yesterday at 08:36 Thanks @ReginaldD. I suggest we'll play out of our skins, Preston have had their chips, and we'll give them a good roasting. In reality a 0-0 draw 1 2

striker Posted yesterday at 09:06 Posted yesterday at 09:06 Miracles do happen, but it's almost a waste of time watching games at the minute, because we can't possibly be competitive. Of course we will try, the players bar the odd exception give everything, but the reality of an already decimated, unbalanced squad, not being able to change anything with subs and playing 3 games in a week will catch up with us, again. But, we all watch and we all hope, until that hope is extinguished. The interest today is whether Redmond gets a game and what he can offer, bearing in mind he's not kicked a ball for a year. I'd take a draw now. 1-1 would be nice, to see us score a goal. 2
