SWFC V Preston North End, the Smith/Valentin Derby

 

It's our first meeting with Smudge and Pol since they departed S6 to cross the pennines in the search of the basic, getting paid each month. 

 

Pol has played 10 games so far this season, 8 in the Championship and 2 in the EFL Cup.

Smudge has racked up 19 appearance, 17 in the Championship and 2 in the EFL Cup. He's manager score 3, all in the Championship.

 

This isn't the only recent connection between Sheffield and Preston. Preston sponsored by Spud Bro's recently opened a Sheffield store on Fargate. Will they slide through our defence like the fork goes through a jacket potato when it's been cooked just right and the potato has had a little mash with butter.

Getting there: After fans had to negotiate their way to Hillsborough without the trams for the derby last Sunday we'll be back to usual for this fixture. The proper naughty element of both fanbases will doff their caps to each and enjoy their refreshments in the pubs rather than gesticulating to each whilst stood on tram tracks.

If your passing through the city centre on the way to the game remember to pop by the club pop up shop at the Christmas Market. Directly across from the town hall steps, key rings, drinks flasks and more items are at great prices. 

 

Weather: We're forecast light rain for the whole of the afternoon. One for the Macron branded jackets you all bought in the recent kit man's sale. Most likely you'll need your SWFC gloves and bobble hat too. The 6 degrees is forecast to feel like 3 degrees with a gentle breeze from the North West.
