I think admin helps our case, acts as a reset and also affords the mitigation of certain relegation.

I’d image that would be one of the first things they do. Fully understand why the restrictions are currently in place, but difficult to justify with owners who would be able to pay on time.
FlyingOwl Posted Friday at 20:53 Posted Friday at 20:53 Chances of the fee restriction being entirely lifted is slim to none But I’m sure it’ll be reduced on appeal
ChapSmurf Posted Friday at 21:05 Posted Friday at 21:05 There might even be a chance of the fee restrictions being lifted in the summer, depending on what the new owners can provide the EFL regarding financial guarantees. Certainly not a given, but it's been discussed.
TrickyTrev Posted Friday at 21:12 Posted Friday at 21:12 That fee restriction needs bringing forward a window so we can pay fees next summer for players.

The club can appeal the fee restriction regardless of ownership From the EFL website: ”Unlike an embargo, a Fee Restriction isn’t lifted upon payment of the outstanding debt, but can be appealed by Clubs.”
cowl Posted yesterday at 00:41 Posted yesterday at 00:41 The current restrictions won't really be a problem, and the EFL won't likely put up much resistance to lifting them. And they won't really care that much about lifting them anyway because they'll have an equally effective way of controlling our expenditure. There'll be a 2 year period post-administration under which we'll be bound by a tight business plan with the EFL. We'll technically be able to pay fees for players, but we'll almost certainly not be doing that as it would seriously limit how many other players we'd be able to bring in. I think it's a good thing anyway. We got out of League One last time pretty much off the back of free transfers, after all. The main thing though is that it gives the new owners time to really focus on all the infrastructure that needs investment (for which they'll not face restriction limits).
