Sultan_Pepper Posted Friday at 15:10 Posted Friday at 15:10 So basically, come out of administration and we can sign frees and loans (with no loan fee) Anyone know if that embargo prevents us offering contracts to young players now, Aloa and Grainger specifically? I assume they'll have to wait until we exit administration too

Tommy Crawshaw Posted Friday at 15:13 Posted Friday at 15:13 I presume the new owners once in place can apply to the EFL to have the fee restrictions lifted. 7
striker Posted Friday at 15:15 Posted Friday at 15:15 Good news. I'd be surprised if new owners weren't playing hardball over the fee restriction sanction. I get that it's the rules, but those rules exist, in part, to protect against rogue owners, which they clearly failed to do. The EFL don't need any more bad press around potential barriers to a sale being concluded. A suspended sanction would be a fair outcome. 4

Correct me if im wrong, but didn't the pigs agree to a 2 point deduction instead of having a transfer embargo? So could new owners do a deal with the EFL to reduce the transfer embargo in exchange for more points deductions this season? 2

I'd imagine any deal like that would be for the following season - they know we are going down anyway.

If I was preferred bidder I would be threatening to pull out of the purchase when efl were doing fit and proper unless they dropped the transfer restriction. I’d be looking for it to at least we done so I can spend fees summer 2026 and accept a suspended be good restriction. EFL surely want clubs to survive and get credible new owners. It’s a restriction on trade to punish a new owner 1 1 3

If not we're going to lose a lot of senior players in the summer when their current deals end.
Mr Grey Man Posted Friday at 15:46 Posted Friday at 15:46 6 little embargo's sitting on a wall, 6 little embargo's sitting on a wall And if on little embargo should accidentally fall They'll be 5 little embargo's sitting on a wall... 5 little embargo's sitting on a wall...... can't be arsed. 8

The precedent is there with both Oxford and Hull have their restrictions reduced on appeal

I think if he /she/they threatened the EFL about transfer restrictions they wouldn't pass the test ......to have someone pull the plug for not abiding to the regulations would be a definite red flag . 1
