Yeah, I had the same thought.
When I read we had both on trial but could only sign one, my guess was always that it’d be end up being Watmore as opposed to Redmond. Having that no.10 to link in between the forward line and midfield is definitely something we’ve missed massively since Windass left. The ball goes forward but rarely sticks.  But in signing Redmond I guess HP is more concerned over our complete absence of a finisher. Both players would instantly find a place in the starting 11 if we were allowed to sign them. 

He wanted to be here ... he has friends who are owls supporters ... that will do for me !

I originally thought it was capped at that by the EFL to cover the AFCON lads, but in the Alex Millar story about the signing he says it’s up until Jan to then allow both parties to review it at that point. 

He'll have to prove his fitness.

And naturally, he'll want to see if there are better offers/our financial situation changes.

I don't mind the terms of the deal. Come January we should  be in a stronger position to bring players in. If Redmond impresses, that could still involve him. If he doesn't, we part ways & find some better loans.

I get what you mean but I suspect at nearly 32 and with a few bad injuries in recent years. The days of him being a flying winger going past defenders are over.

I think its a nice fit, gives us chance to look at him and him at us, if its not working we can look at other options in January, assuming sale and embargos permit.

Be fair to J Lowe and play him in his preferred position as he is already match fit. Don’t spaff money we don’t have on a busted flush when we are certs for relegation 

We need more players. We will have injuries and suspensions, we need to actually be able to field a squad.

Maybe, but im hoping he can still find space and send the defender the wrong way over five to ten yards. Tricky Trev was older than Redmond when he arrived at Wednesday. The lightening pace had faded, but he still knew how to get past a defender.

He's good mates with Chalobah so can sit and chat with him in the gym while they get fit 

Beggar's can't be choosers .....we are so limited to what we can sign that even a supposedly washed  out crock seems exciting ..if we can get some games out of him till the new year  then it's a good deal to see us thru a busy December ..
