Popular Post Steve1212 Posted November 23 Popular Post Posted November 23 I think he means a new stadium apposed to the 2018 plans.. I think we have to accept we need a new stadium to compete, sadly the infrastructure around the ground is poor. 1 19
Popular Post Rogers Posted November 23 Popular Post Posted November 23 We definitely don’t want change, we’ve been doing so well over the last 30 years. 39 8
Steve1212 Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Man City’s foot print… but let’s be honest a lick of paint and a new hot dog stand and we will be fine… F off any billionaire that wants to move us forward. 2 4
Popular Post catdog1121 Posted November 23 Popular Post Posted November 23 Yeah lets keep with stands that are falling apart.. Who needs money from commercial boxes or modern facilities.. Lets stay in the past and carry on the way we have last 20yrs, its going so well.. 1 2 29
Steve1212 Posted November 23 Posted November 23 (edited) Maine road 2003, I bet they loved it too but would they swap? Edited November 23 by Steve1212 1 1 3
Popular Post WimJunk Posted November 23 Popular Post Posted November 23 I'm always amazed that people would rather be connected to rusting metal and concrete, than actually trying to progress with better facilities. We'll need a new ground eventually, in one shape or form. 1 24
Popular Post Maidstone Owl Posted November 23 Popular Post Posted November 23 (edited) Let's just stay where we are, keep everything crossed and hope for the best. Everything is just fine, everything has been fine for a quarter of century. Your expectations are just set too high. Sp✓nk away another £150-£200million. Awake from the nightmare in 2035 (at the end of the "ten year plan") at a repainted Hillsborough with a few new hotdog stands, hot water in the North and a new P.A. system, playing in the Championship. Wilder is back at the Stain for the fifth time. The buses are still bad. The trams are cancelled. Everyone is happy! A sign of madness is to just to keep doing the same things that have resulted in failure - time and time and time again - and hope for a different outcome. Be brave, be bold little Owls! Change isn't the big scary monster you've been warned it is! Ask the majority of the Everton/ City/ Spurs/ Arsenal fans. Edited November 23 by Maidstone Owl 12 WE'RE ALL WEDNESDAY AREN'T WE

I enjoy watching the team, but honestly Hillsborough is so outdated, I don’t even think redevelopment can bring it up to standards. There’s only so much you can paper over the cracks. 13
Popular Post Brad_owl Posted November 23 Popular Post Posted November 23 We HAVE to move if we want to reach the heights we are striving for. We are surrounded by a main road, houses and a river. Transport links are awful and parking even worse. The match day experience compared to other clubs and sports is as bad as I've experience. Go to a game at Man City or a similar sized European club like Hamburg SV for a game. Thinking even bigger go to an NFL game (Allegiant Stadium / Vegas Raiders was one I went to recently) and it will just blow your socks off. I work in Birmingham and the buzz created by the new complex being built is palpable. Even non fans are excited about the development. Generating money every day of the year is the aim and that's where we should also be shooting towards. Let's just move! 1 20
Freshfish Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Pride and Inspiration. We need the pride our past provides and the inspiration to take us forward. That takes owner/s, designers and architects with an understanding of the importance of our history and a vision for our future. We've moved before ...we just need to take what's important with us and ensure what is created is made with vision, quality and inspires for generations. Olive Grove. Hillsborough. The Future. 1 5
