On the off chance Horvath/Stretch pulled up or fell ill during the warm ups - Barrett would be then on the bench

 

I also doubt we'd send Barrett away if Charles was nowhere near.

 

It means Horvath gets benched & Stretch can play some games for the under 21s. Then we do a rethink in January.

Would be great to have him for the 6 games in December, get a few points on the board and maybe just maybe keep a few clean sheet to help with getting a few wins.

If there are points deductions we could get them this season if theres a sniff we could do the impossible and finish 21st.  

Come on Pierce lad…get those gloves on! (Obviously, don’t pick Horvarth’s gigantigloves up by mistake!)

Doesn't the emergency loan rules state that while Horvath is here if he’s fit he has to play?

Horvath isn't an emergency loan though.

He must be good if he can score goals at one end and stop them at the other.

He was signed within the summer window, so there was never any reason for him to be classed as one.

Of course, we had to get permission for it, given all the restrictions we've been under, and that was what made the signing special, but that was all.

Having proven that boycotts work, I’m not going again while Horvath is in goal.

in my opinion, his one or two decent saves don’t mask the appalling distribution, continually dodgy decision making and lack of command of his 6 yard box.

Charles is good but not a miracle worker? We're not going to suddenly be a different team with him in goal. People's expectations are a funny thing.

He really is shocking when it comes to making a decision on coming out or not, and again my Mrs mentioned how rubbish he is and she knows jack poo about football and barely watches it but this is twice she's mentioned how poor he looks in net!

That’s the thing. You just have to list all those who left over summer - Musaba, Gassama, young Cadamarteri, Windass, Smith, Hatsuse, Armstrong, Johnson, Ihiekwe, Famewo, Valentin, Paterson… They don’t get replaced by one goalkeeper coming back from injury. But he is a good goalkeeper. And I hope he stays fit.

 My biggest hope is that with new owners we’ll be allowed to start rebuilding the squad in January. Not with the expectation to stay in this league - more so I don’t have the expectation to lose every week! And also to start building a competitive squad for next year that have experience playing together.

he’s ours and he’s Northern Ireland’s No. 1. I just want us to hang on to him as he’s got makings of a good keeper. I still think he won’t be here next year
