InfiniteOwl Posted Thursday at 21:53 Posted Thursday at 21:53 Has it ever been clarified as to why there are no programme sellers inside the stadium? I attended my first game for a couple of years last night and arrived early. I could have sworn that there used to be some programme sellers inside the stadium, but this doesn’t appear to be the case. Just seems an obvious opportunity for revenue generation if people want to grab one after they’ve entered. 2
TheGaffer Posted Thursday at 22:00 Posted Thursday at 22:00 If you used to go on the North. Sadly the fella that did this passed away. He did it off his own back. No instructions to do so
slow83 Posted Thursday at 22:38 Posted Thursday at 22:38 Yes there used to be in the Kop, a guy used to walk round during the match.

InfiniteOwl Posted yesterday at 00:10 Author Posted yesterday at 00:10 I don’t know why they don’t sell within the concessions alongside the food. Surely it’s a missed opportunity for a bit of extra revenue if you don’t have the option to get one once you’ve gone through the turnstiles. 1
Owl In Black Posted yesterday at 08:16 Posted yesterday at 08:16 There was the chap that used to go round with programmes and also 5050 half time drawer. Might have been same chap...
Worthing_owl Posted yesterday at 08:22 Posted yesterday at 08:22 If you want to buy a programme, surely you're able to buy outside the ground? Sales of programmes are declining, I don't really think it's much an issue.

I've got loads of them from the1960s and still enjoy reading them.
thewookieisdown Posted yesterday at 08:39 Posted yesterday at 08:39 The last time I bought a programme, I quickly realised I couldn't read it. But I don't really want to take my reading glasses to a game, so that's me out. They've obviously slashed back the font size over the years. Fixing that would be the priority for me. 1
Worthing_owl Posted yesterday at 11:05 Posted yesterday at 11:05 Some clubs don't even bother with programmes these days. It used to be part of the experience, but not any more for me. When I look at old ones loads of adverts and similar features wick after week.# I used to like the history parts who had played for both, memorable previous games and the won, lost, drawn info.

No instructions to do so I remember him well when I was a North Stand season ticket holder. Used to get to where I sat at half time. I also remember a bloke wanting one for half price as half the game had already taken place. He laughed and said nice try NO.

niallzi Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I bought a programme for the 5,000th game last year but the last one I remember buying before that was the game against Wigan(?) in December 2013 which got abandoned because of the rain. It's actually covered in frayed edges and water damage from standing at the tram stop afterwards with it rolled up in my hand. Was this one of only about 2 or 3 matches we've had abandoned since WWII? It was also the last game I went to before turning 18 so you see my attention thereafter went to the bar and not the programme stall...
