gypsyowl Posted October 27 Posted October 27 For anyone interested, we've entered an under 23 team into this competition. We got a bye in the 1st round and play in the 2nd round tomorrow v Hemsworth Miners Welfare who are step 6 of non-league I believe. 3 5
beswetherick Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Will be at Hallam tomorrow for the game against Park Steels, but cheers for the info. If our kids get into the next round then that could be another few quid for the club if we get a home tie 2
Mole Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Hemsworth are step 7 of non-league. They are currently top of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League https://fulltime.thefa.com/table.html?league=484215702&selectedSeason=430785617&selectedDivision=983741392&selectedCompetition=0&selectedFixtureGroupKey=1_54062288

They have floodlights and a plastic pitch. IIRC they are barred from entering the NECL (Step 6) are they pitch is smaller the regulation size. 1

keefdave Posted October 28 Posted October 28 I used to love the County Cup back in the day when all the local sides entered. If I remember correctly, you could opt out if you paid a fee to the local FA.
beswetherick Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Home tie in the next round could earn the club a few extra quid if we play it at Hillsborough, every little helps! 2
