Hope he gets the reception he deserves or even better Charlton say you’re not welcome here sling your hook.

We've never been in that situation before. The EFL can scrap those results or award 3 points for all the games we don't play. Do you want to get chucked out of the league to find out? In the very recent meeting between the trust and EFL. The EFL did say that is the sanctions they could/would apply if fans got matches abandoned. Go read it, it's one of the last things discussed. Don't doubt they are serious, the integrity of their league is their ultimate responsibility.

They're like sloths on a go slow. I think they have deliberately held off sanctions so as to not put buyers off the club. My interpretation is they are trying their best but are somewhat limited by their rules. They now appear to have given up hope of DC selling and are moving to turn up the pressure on him with points deductions. Reading between the lines of the Trust/EFL meeting they are telling us admin/winding up order is on its way as DC can't pay HMRC. 1 1

trumbullowl Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago What are the EFL on about when they asked the Trust if they are prepared for an insolvency event? What can the Trust actually do?

No players will join, EFL sanctions will stop contracts being signed, no one will want to renew. Hes trading insolvent which should be enough to take it further. I still think he’s doing this deliberately and out of spite. He doesn’t give a crap he’ll sell any remaining assets including kids like weaver, sell lowe etc and go again with a fresh bunch of academy players. Edited 4 hours ago by modboy
unkastav Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago EFL havent helped any other clubs out and arent going to change that for us sadly. THEY arent fit and proper 2

What the Trust can do, who knows I often thought this, but couldn't the trust take control of the club if needed I know they couldn't inject money themselves but there would be ways of generating income and fans could pay a monthly subscription of different tiers depending on what you can afford and all have a say on the important things. Surely our fan base with the Sky money and match income we could at least keep the club running and pay players and staff until it can be sold to someone actually capable of taking us forward. 1
nbupperthongowl Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think with Reading and us the efl have finally realised that they don't have the appropriate powers to run the game.....they are clearly expecting the regulator to do the dirty work for them, rather than increase their powers You can guarantee the PL will soon get involved and the efl will end up as weak as the FA (once all powerful) are now

If the FA had any balls they would have told the premier league when it formed, if you do this no FA Cup ,no League cup and no players picked for international honours.
