patolookalike Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Positives to be taken from the Trusts meeting: The Trust are continuing to do incredible work, engaging with the League, remaining informed, asking questions - thank you! The EFL have talked to Chansiri - some acknowledgement of at least some ongoing communication. The rest, yes, is pretty dyer... He can't afford to run us, and doesn't seem to be selling us. 1

Wow let's do it then. But before we do, can you give us some real examples of pitch invasions which have upset and inconvenienced the EFL so much that they invented some new rules for themselves and got rid of an owner? 1 1 2
latemodelchild Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Great to see the Trust in dialogue with the EFL. We all owe them our thanks. Looking at the minutes it could be argued that the EFL are telling us one thing but doing another quietly in the background. They have to be seen to be impartial and only have so much power. I honestly think they see how powerless they are in a situation such as ours. He owns us and if he wants to destroy us he can. No amount of protests or boycotting will change that. What it can do though is push him to the brink and hope he sees sense or trips himself up. Keep up the boycott of spending and we'll see him in a deeper and deeper hole as time passes. We then have to hope we survive. One thing you can't forget though, this is all on him. All of it. We aren't to blame, the trust isn't to blame. Chansiri is to blame for all of this. 2 2

We've made a good start, we need to keep our foot on the gas. Nobody is coming to help us, it's up to us to play whatever part we can to push for change. That evident more than ever now. This is it. I don’t think embarrassment will push him over the edge - he’s already an embarrassment to his family. - it will be finances that push him over the top. He’s the clubs main creditor. He, and basically only him, can put us Admin. If HMRC push they’ll ask for a Winding Up Order, which would be the end. We’ve got to keep making him put his hand in his pocket as much as possible, then the pain might be just get too much for him to handle. I don’t think there’s a White Knight coming to our rescue any time soon. And to those who insist on going to matches - enjoy it while you can because this time next year, Rodney, …………….. 3

Blackpool -Years Reading - Years Blackburn - ongoing for years Birmingham - Years Bolton - Years etc. etc SWFC? - we're hoping it's not years but strap in. He can limp on for quite a while dragging a great club down, and he probably will. A glimmer of light is that other clubs have been Months - yay. But we have to face the reality that we are probably just at the beginning of this. Depressing isn't it? 1 2

Nobody will buy us with that in place, who spend millions on a business you are banned from investing in the main part of for 2 years. It's an absolute disgrace, this lies at owners door not the fans that will suffer most in long term. I understand your point, but each season there are so many good free agents, we are just too slow to get them. Other teams spend 12 months a year looking for player under Chansiri it always felt like we didn't start until the window opened and it was always a last week Scrabble for the dregs. I also suspect any new owner may get the transfer ban reduced to just January should they take over soon. As for the EFL just continuing to show how pointless and useless they are. More bother about themselves than the fans. 1
twolaptops Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Not enough pressure on the EFL to act to bring it to a conclusion one way or another................if it's going to go t!!t$ up big style then might as well get games stopped or players to strike asap ????

Harrysgame Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago 2 hours ago, Southie_Owl said: Yep that's probably linked to what Textor was saying about it being very complicated and discussing it with the league. No doubt investors want assurances they will be able to buy players rather than spend £40m+ to own a club and they can't bring their own players in. EFL saying it will go to a tribunal and they can't guarantee the outcome, cheers for that. You would have thought there EFL would have enough sense to allow a club to have a clean start, if a totally new ownership came to a club unconnected with previous regime. What do they actually do to help the clubs and the fans they supposedly represent? 1

Marcopw001 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago My reading of this is the EFL think administration is a real possibility and near. HMRC would be the straw that breaks the camel’s whats it… 2

But from what Textor said, and those who can't be named on here anymore, it sounds like its one of the main things putting people off spending £40m+ to buy the club. Don’t bank on an appeal being successful. EFL rules are set by its members, the clubs. Therefore we are asking the other clubs to agree that any new owners at SWFC can escape punishment for rule breaches (including not paying some of them money we owe them on time) and spend big money as soon as DC has gone. 2
