Bloxwich Owl Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Well at least it possibly won’t affect us in league one……
DCFCOwls Posted September 15 Posted September 15 To be fair I prefer that, rather than having to break again 2 weeks later which is annoying. 1 1

I agree, I would still prefer they do the qualifying for international tournaments in the "off" season. The international games shouldn't impact the season
TheGaffer Posted September 15 Posted September 15 To add. The clubs will complain but f*CK em they'd only be jetting off to Asia or America anyway 1

The international games shouldn't impact the season I still think it's time for internationals to go the way of cricket , seperate them and players signed to international contracts and only play for their nation. That way they can set up stuff like the nations league and friendly matches etc and not be impacting club football. The FAs could pay them well as they'd only be needing 30 man squads and a coaching team.
TheGaffer Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Won't / can't happen. There's no ICB equivalent The FA / Premier League structure wouldn't allow it either. I vaguely knew of it previously, but, i didn't quite know how incompetent the Fa were when structuring the Premier League with clubs. They threw away any votes for a meaningless one share vote. Simon Jordans latest documentary is well worth a watch regarding this.
TomtheOwl95 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Anyone who plays FM will have experienced this in the game. For me it's no better than what we have now. Like the OP says, possibly doesn't effect us but even so, not a fan.
Maidstone Owl Posted September 16 Posted September 16 International football has become really crap. 2 DEFUND CHANSIRI

Theyd take far more pride and have far more motivation. You'd be able to set up the home nations again , you'd be able to set up some form of 6 nations style tournaments maybe? Include Spain and France for example , the freedom it would bring would bring in fans as well, if they know they're watching proper competition with players giving their all they'd be far more inclined to pay to watch.
