Anthndav Posted September 9 Author Posted September 9 Definitely win them a trophy the second season?
markg Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Massive change in style. Wonder if it suits the current squad?
helmut_rooster Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Awful decision. Forest fans will be fuming. Relegation scrap waits. 1 2
Stoop Posted September 9 Posted September 9 People either love him or hate him, I think he comes across as a right helmet, it’s a shame to see him back so soon Also they get reyt upset when you call them Notts Forest 1
andrew1974 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Nuno managed to engineer his escape then. Not been the same since they brought Edu in and it just sounds like he wanted out but didnt want to resign
SiJ Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) I mean...Ange did win a trophy last season...but then Spurs were so bad in the league. Also, his teams play a completely different style of football to that of Nuno. Forest going from defensive/counter attacking football to high pressing/attacking football. Could be a recipe for disaster. Edited September 9 by SiJ
DCFCOwls Posted September 9 Posted September 9 As a Derby supporter I'm at the stage where I know this will be a positive for them Their owner whilst a bit loony seems to have the midas touch when it comes to this. Sacked Oneill hired Lamouchi and saw an upturn , that fell off so he sacked Lamouchi and hired Cooper who took them up, Cooper kept them up but they were in trouble again so he sacked him and hired Nuno , who kept them up and took them into Europe last season, he's since greenlighted a load of new signings for a more attacking style and thus has sacked the more dogmatic Nuno for a progressively attacking manager in Ange. He's not a stupid bloke their owner, he knows what he's doing when it comes to the football, knows what he needs in my opinion. I wish Morris had that when he was hiring and firing , the difference is striking 2

I’m not saying it’ll be as simple as this or has any chance of happening, but if Ange did actually win them a European trophy and they went down, I think Forest fans might actually take that. Bearing in mind Forest have had a very similarly bad couple of decades as us for much of the last 25 years, and I would snap your hands off for that in the same situation. One of my biggest annoyances in modern football is how we seem to have devalued winning a European trophy, especially from a supporters perspective. West Ham winning it and still chasing Moyes out of town remains one of the most irritating things I’ve seen in the modern game. 4

Think that just proved to me that West Ham fans are amongst the most delusional in football. They’re never ******** happy no matter how much they punch above their weight.

They have just the two league titles between them (Spurs 2. WHU 0) They’re two clubs who because they play in London, massively benefit from football tourism
1867Ow1 Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Think Ange will do quite well there myself. Not expecting them to win owt but can see them going down a palace style route in the next few years
