Checking out house of pain jump around. Out of curiosity young Liam what is your connection to the gers??? I have Irish blood what’s your excuse??? Up the Celts!

Nosey ain’t you?

My family originate from a staunchly Protestant area in County Fermanagh where every man and his dog support Rangers and/or Man United.

My parents then moved to the Midlands where I was born and I adopted Albion as my team given I was born there.

I’ve lived in various places since but my intention is to return to Northern Ireland at some point work depending.

Good comeback from Hearts but looks like Celtic will bring the gap down to 6 points.

Decent start in the league for Danny.

Hit the bar twice and had a winner ruled out at the end by VAR. Still unbeaten and a decent point away at a tricky ground. Got some winnable games up next

You will fall away like Aberdeen last season

Wait and see. I think you are way wrong.

As someone who actually watches Scottish football regularly I think we will finish second minimum. I’m not overestimating my own team either. This team is far superior to Aberdeen’s of last season in all departments.

With the use of Jamestown in January and every window moving forwards, having money to spend unlike Aberdeen did last year, and with our two best players still to integrate into the current squad we have a huge advantage over that Dons team.

I expect Hearts to have a difficult period because the current trajectory is unsustainable but this Hearts side is a far cry from the Aberdeen side that waved the white flag last year. McInnes is a much better manager than Thelin too.

Agreed. We will have difficult periods and we will lose some football matches. How we react to that will be the key but with our manager and squad I’m confident. Like you say with the depth across the side (right back excepted) I’m confident we will be fine. It’s actually scary that we still have Cheznokov and Ageu to bring in to this team too. We have bundles of quality and that’s something Aberdeen don’t and didn’t have.

Cracking result for your boys last night BTW. I’ve not seen the penalty save yet. Was it a good one?

It's not entitlement - but you're also not seeing the bigger picture of what is going on.

Your last 7 words also sum up why there was trepidation around his appt.

On the whole, the quality may be a step back at the moment. I think that the hardest bit about managing Celtic and Rangers is the expectation. You could say it's entitlement, but it's natural really for them to expect to be challenging each other closely for the title. They literally expect to win every week. I do get Rangers and Celtic fans therefore wanting 'proven' managers.

Mixed feelings, I’ll agree SPL is a unique challenge due to the expectation to win everything all the time. I can see the appeal for Röhl. But the reality is as it’s incredibly uncompetitive, low quality and Scottish football lacks the revenue to even compete with smaller clubs in Europe the ceiling is tiny - Scottish football and by extension of that Rangers & Celtic are getting left behind by the investment in the EFL & other emerging leagues round Europe.

That is why I think any upcoming manager or player view those clubs as a less attractive proposition now. Probably why they have struggled to attract any genuine ‘big name’ manager/players.
