It's reminiscent of our 2008/09 season under Jewell, after getting 11 points and getting tw@tted every week in the prem the season before. Its hard to get out of that rut. Took us 5 years and Clough jnrs working on austerity budgets to get back to anything decent.

Adem Poric Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I didn't even remember Will Still was their manager until he got sacked. Championship looks rubbish this year apart from Coventry. No other team has looked at all impressive. Expect Ipswich to click at some point and get top two.

For me Ipswich and Coventry are the best 2 sides , underneath that there's solid sides like Millwall, Middlesbrough and Stoke , Preston are very dogged and resilient It's a cr@p league overall

scram Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I don't think there is an outstanding team - yet at least I'll admit I forecast this season wrong- I thought last season was the weakest championship since forever (it was) and this season would be much stronger - is actually somehow managed to be worse. I saw most of Coventrys last 2 games on telly and they were just achingly average - just another average championship team It's still early days of course and much will change - you've kind of got to expect saints and Leicester to stop being so awful I was going to say that my dark horse for top 2 contender is Watford - but because the way is opened up don't think there are dark horses - just contenders But it really does look so wide open that anybody apart from us has reason to be optimistic.
DCFCOwls Posted November 8 Posted November 8 It shows how average it is that we (Derby) are just a good Aerial team and won 5 on the spin doing it fairly easily. Morris will score 20 plus just from the fact we are excellent at corners and crosses, the league is bang average , especially if we somehow make the playoffs. Plymouth in L1 could be bottom by tonight , absolute free fall
McRightSide Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Looks like Danny jumped too soon Some great jobs starting to come up
sheffield_dave Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I think Ipswich will go on and win it. They have had a slow start but even then have handed out some hammerings. They have real quality for the division and I think they’re capable of going on a run if they can properly find their gear. Southampton are the obvious standout from the bottom half who could emerge. Wrexham are starting to make a bit more of a nuisance of themselves as well. I think I’d back them and Birmingham for the top 6 before I would Preston or Hull, despite them sitting in there right now. Might be tempting to look at Leicester as sorting themselves out but I’m not sure I see it. Think they’ll carry on all season as they’ve started the first 15. Just a club carrying the wrong vibes.
