Guess the Footballer - part 1

Anyone who is a member of 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s football groups on Facebook will be familiar with the format.

I give a set of clues. You guess the player.

Clues are often purposefully vague. If I say a player didn’t play for “City”. I mean any club called City. Not just the most famous one.

This quiz is a general football quiz. Not a Wednesday quiz. The player may (or may not) have been an Owl during their career.

Clues:

I played professionally in the 70’s.

I scored while playing at clubs based in two of the UK’s capital cities.

I scored in a cup final at Wembley.

I played for the same United in 3 different decades.

I scored at every club I played for.

I was not at Rovers or Wanderers.

I was not capped by the country of my birth.

are we allowed to use google and the like?

Could do with a 90s one?

Google is fine. But it’ll possibly still take some sleuthing. I doubt a single google search will bring the answers up.

I plan to do more of these - featuring players from various decades. 
 

But I will add that this player’s career ran through three different decades.  He may have played in the 90’s too...

I’ll throw in another clue.

He won a Goal of the season competition.
