The bigger the trust is the more of a mandate it has to get answers from the club/chairman

It was Plymouth this year, went on the tour the morning before and the fire brigade were there watering the pitch and taking pictures in the goal mouth.

The fact of the matter is with him in goal the club is not going to progress. He’s had loads of chances to make himself the no1 and never took it. He’s had so many chances because he’s “one of our own” and we need to stop being so sentimental.

Sat in the Mansfield stand with the oldest born. Managed to feign disappointment when we scored. Wildsmith 7 Hunt 6 looked dodgy at times Dunkley 6 Gibson 7 Looked assured and calm on the ball. Johnson 7 thought he did ok and was better on the right. Dele 8 was impressed as he was strong in midfield and kept the ball. Rode quite a few challenges as well. Wing 6 frustrating as had good touches but also gave the ball away stupidly in bad areas. Was at fault for their goal I thought. Corbeanu 8 nice to see a player who likes to take on a man. Patterson is a ringer for the opposite team. How many times has he cost us goals in the box this season.

He’s a luxury player, we can’t play a 442 with him in the middle as he doesn’t track back or get stuck in enough. This is why Carlos stuck him out on the left. We’ve played these last few systems with a 3 in midfield to fit him in. He just spends the game dropping to deep and we end up with 3 centre half’s, him and 1 or 2 defensive midfielders all in our own half. No wonder we can’t score..
