That was a gutless performance, hugely disappointing. Worrying that the players weren’t up for a derby. Probably the worst performance of the season. Not sure what the tactics were meant to be. Bannan spent most of the second half at left back. Ugbo offers the team nothing and continuing to pick him will get Pederson the sack. Bailey might not be the answer but at least you get effort. He, Brown and Grainger should all be ahead of him.

Pedersen earned a lot of credit given the hand that he was dealt but it’s rapidly running out for me. There is no excuse for playing Ugbo. The stats don’t lie and he contributes nothing. The enthusiasm and effort shown by the young lads in the cup games ought to be rewarded with more game time. It’s no good saying they aren’t ready. They can’t be any less ready than Ugbo. Give them the experience for next season.
