  1. Even though it was 11... Maybe I'll learn to read someday...
  2. Sorry I.misread you being 9 yrs old as being 9 yrs ago
  3. Last I remember us needing a draw in Italy was fur the 1998 WC under Hoddle We drew 0-0 and played superbly that night Nearly won at the end but Ian Wright hit the post - he was an incredible player but it never quite worked for him and England He was far from alone in that regard though
  4. Every team has its Achilles Heel We're as strong as any in the world now It always comes down to margins on the day - and you can't account for those We do need to get a settled defence but no other team had the array of attacking options we have - only caveat is we have probably the best in the world in Kane - but nobody close to him after that That's where a formation switch souks probably need to happen if he were unavailable
  5. Clearly reflected in 0-4 score after an hour....
  6. Jude is 100% the man in the driving seat After that I'd say Palmer The issue seems to occur when they try to get them all in the team at the same time Unfortunately good - even excellent players - have to take a seat on the bench for the good of the team I hope TT doesn't fall into the trap which I think cost Southgate (and England) the last euros
  7. Kane keeps up his incredible scoring record Phenomenal player. I think this is the definition of a professional job - well on top and already won the game by while playing in a public park
  8. I like him but he needs to play consistently for a run of games at arsenal It's the only way he'll get consistency But they're not gonna pick him as a favour to him and England
  9. I was gonna say that I think Gordon needs to be much more reliable and consistent with his decision making and delivery I still think that but I won't say anything after that excellent goal...
  10. Over the course of a long league season I agree But over a short qualifying campaign I think H2H is fairer
  11. You're sounding like Chris Wilder tbh I don't really rate Gerrard as a manager but he did stop a procession of Celtic title wins He's revered at Rangers so the fact he won't go back hints at pretty deep issues there
  12. Being pedantic it was a tendon from the hamstring Which is a different biological structure to a ligament Which kinda mandates the adaptation and consequently rehab time We don't know Bernard's injury so there's no way we can comment on what his recovery should be
  13. I disagree England have still pushed forward and should have had a couple more The subs have stalled our rhythm somewhat but we're still pressing and playing well
  14. There's a lot to like about Anthony Gordon but his decision making is not as good as his approach play Let's himself down a bit
  15. I realise football has changed and I think itd probably quite well supported these days But I used to go to home internationals quite a lot and Wembley with 18k unenthusiastic fans wasn't the most exhilarating experience I can't remember what the gates were like for say N Ireland v Wales by they can't have been at all impressive England v Scotland was, and always will be an occasion I think we've already got too many games and there's just no space for them. Maybe as a one-off tournament over a summer but definitely not as a yearly fixture
