  1. My word, that is a very inexperienced looking side and not many options on the bench either.
  2. It's all well and good saying the money is in the Premier league, but also the transfer fees are just ridiculous too, as are the wages paid. The only sustainable way is the Brentford model. Sign young players with development potential , keep some, sell others to make more signings and gradually strengthen the squad. That also needs a proper football structure with a business plan consistent with the above values. It will take patience, but it can't be worse than what we've suffered over the last 25 years.
  3. That Amber shirt is really good. Blue one, tge stripes are a bit too wide.
  4. I'd be sure that someone sitting close to them would be able to tell the club the seat number that the idiot was in, thereby allowing the club to identify them. How clubs are expected to stop this type of thing is beyond me. The individual should be made to pay or suffer any penalties and not the club. I agree with earlier posters that these type of idiots are the same as those who cause trouble on trams etc. Surely we can have respectful rivalry. It doesn't need to descend into violent behaviour, even though we take the p*** out of each other in forums such as this.
  5. The blue is too light. Needs to be royal blue. However it's a great design.
  6. Didn't expect us to win, but did expect some effort and fight. With the exception of Amass, there was no effort, grit or determination, which is the minimum we should expect. Poor, very poor indeed.
  7. Can anyone paste the photo on here please. The photo bucket thing isn't working.
  8. Henrik has said Cooper is fit, so hopefully he will start.
  9. It all sounds very positive and I would hope that at least one of the bidders has provided information on their plans for the future, which involve a proper management structure and medium to long term investment in the training ground, the stadium and the playing squad. If we get those things, we could have a really bright future.
  10. The external design looks awful with the chimneys. Inside it looks great, though. Problem for us is finding a site.
  11. It was actually 1-2. This is the match
  12. Wow that's truly a bent referee! I hated him. Always knew we wouldn't get any 50/50 decisions when he was in charge. A real wucking fanker!
  13. Have always thought we deserved to win that game on chances created. Despite the somewhat farcical scenario of players being left at the hotel when the team bus departed, the team performed well. Just one of those days, when the ball didn't roll for us.
  14. The difference is, kids back then didn't usually get what they wanted "now" unless they had rich or very indulgent parents. Nowadays, the Gen Z's I'm talking about are the grown up ones, who aren't prepared to wait for things by saving for them, but instead get themselves into debt, because they "want it now ".
  15. I'm talking about the "I Want It Now" attitude!
  16. That is sooooo Gen Z!
  17. Really pleasing to see the administrators have used their initiative with these discounts. Sure it will bring in extra cash for the next couple of months expenses.
  18. What a ridiculous rule! .Why can't it just be a patch with the number on, like we had in the 70s?
  19. Absolutely superb effort from the Trust and the fans. Well done everyone.
  20. Yes we definitely want blue and white hooped socks!
  21. A most entertaining, if low key chat Jim. Really enjoyable. Just on the subject of a favourite non Wednesday player, I thought Frank Worthington was a great player. He had a brilliant first touch, could kill a ball instantly, and was such a calm finisher. I guess we all have different perspectives but Frankie was my favourite. On the subject of new owners, I'd really like them to put a proper management structure in the club. People with successful experience in their roles. Director of Football, Recruitment Manager, Finance and Marketing Manager. A five to ten year plan to evolve the club into being sustainable. As you said, developing young players and also selling some when their value is high and bringing more through the system.
  22. What does "Moss successful " mean??? Professional (so called) journalists that don't proof read before posting.
  23. Anyone know who the co-commentator is on I-follow?
