  1. But i'm not sure reducing the price further is going to make that much difference to attendance
  2. Mike Ashley would make his £20m back before Christmas if he flogged the big Sports Direct mugs with the old owl on em
  3. Its hilarious that people think Jordan knows anything about anything. He's a talking head. Paid to talk on the radio. He fills airtime
  4. Exactly. No-one knows anything and anyone saying they know something is bullshitting. Any speculation is merely that.
  5. I understand that. I don't mean to attract owners, i mean for cashflow. I doubt any owners are tracking our attendances on their fridge. Its just when it comes to January and we play less at home, and only 3 or 4k pay on the gate, it won't cover outgoings
  6. Yesterday was about as good as we can expect after 3 games in 6 days. We were a little unlucky. Mistakes still but they were mostly collective and maybe down to concentration and energy levels. The crowd can't say they weren't entertained. The drop in attendance is a little worry because we need the money, but 4 games in the month will hopefully bring in enough money, especially with a Christmas bounce in the shop. The club has tried with offers etc. We need to push for a big crowd Boxing day. We haven't been at home for years, and there's no excuses that there's something else on
  7. I've been to the Allianz arena on a Champions League night and its the dictionary definition of soulless. They even upped the ante by handing out cardboard clappers. Its bloody freezing too.
  8. For context Poland built the stadium in wrocław for about €180m, poznań €190m. Roughly similar capacity. That was 15 years ago
  9. I said this on here a few weeks ago. I would be surprised if it gets built for less than twice that. Btw today they mentioned the potential host cities for the 2035 womens wc, and no place for Sheffield at all. Not even considered.
  10. And it would certainly give off the imrpession they don't have the sufficient funds to stabilise us let alone progress us
  11. And it will mess up big time. Recruitment still could be difficult next season. -15pts will add to that. Longer in league one. Less enthusiasm and all the disadvantages of that. If a potential owner is expected to show £50m funds, i suspect that means they are expected to pay at least the minimum to creditors so we can exit admin with "no" penalties
  12. Its irrelevant about the future. Now is now. We need people through the gate to keep the lights on. Up to the fans to bail the club out. Wednesday need fans turning up now far more than they need some potential daytrippers. If we ever get in the PL, any owner will be able to bus tourists in and fill the stadium. But that is dreaming. We are skint and heading for League One. Wednesday need us more than ever. Turn up, moan, go home after 30mins, who cares as long as the till chimes
  13. I don't think anyone expected them to have got even worse in the past month. Its pretty untenable for Slot now
  14. We haven't had a big match in 30 years
  15. Football in general seems very open this season. Its nothing new now, but the transfer window, then an international break seems to be breaking momentum. I think its just taking teams a little longer to settle and figure out what they are doing
  16. On a monday night in December, on tv? They aren't that well supported. Maybe but I'd be surprised
  17. I was glad they wasted 10 mins on Sunday. Saved us a pasting
  18. Van Bronchhurst took Rangers to a Europa league final and they sacked him
  19. He knows nothing about football. He's probably just parroting what Wilder has said to him
  20. A long time (barring the boycott) since i saw so many tickets left for the North Stand. We need to get people through the gate. The club won't save itself. Don't leave it to chance
  21. I reckon if we played that against the team they put out against us last November, we would have taken a right pasting. They regressed a lot as well. Ings has scored 4 goals in nearly 4 years and it shows
  22. And i don't think he gets on with Ashley at all
  23. I kind of agree. Palmer's positioning was originally at fault and Cooper is trying to proactively cover, but he also knows not to play the ball loose into midfield there. I think we can say quite often the same with mistakes from Iorfa. Its often a case of putting out fires elsewhere. Sadly i do think Peck knew what he was doing, hence the goal. In the grand scheme of things, such a goal shows why we lost yesterday. Its not a lack of effort, but errors being punished. If the play is reversed we wouldn't have scored their first or second goal.
  24. There is no way this squad can outfight that pig team. They are stronger and faster. Surely people can see that. They aren't just better than us technically, they are streets agead of us physically. We have shown all season that we can barely manage an half let alone 90mins. Anyone who has watched us knows that. We could only manage 1-1 the other week against Norwich, when their team were trying to get their coach sacked
  25. Its interesting seeing different perspectives. I see a lot of players questioning the players' commitment yesterday. I woudl say all of it quite harshly. Then a thread praising Amass, who showed the most obvious sign of giving up yesterday, when he lost the ball at 3-0 and just stood on the half way line. Luckily Bannan put the sprint in and got back. I'm not criticising Amass btw. He's allowed one, and put a shift in otherwise, its just interesting seeing some singled out but not others. Similarly people calling out Iorfa, and saying Cooper should start, when Cooper gifted them the 2nd goal.
