So in the last 25 years of completely inept management of Sheffield Wednesday, seeing players like Gilles De Bilde and Jay Bothroyd in the shirt, having fans getting sued by the club etc etc, this is the one that thing that cannot be forgiven??? Where's that cat and the "s**t posting time" gif?

I expected a comfortable United victory but thinking it would be a bit like Stoke City where we knew we'd lose but at least we tried I didn't see anything like that at all. I saw zero effort, zero fight - it was as if they threw the towel in after Campbell made it 1-0. That is unacceptable for a derby match. There have been plenty of seasons gone by where United have had a far far stronger side than us but at least we competed, battled and gave our all. There was none of that As some have already mentioned, that Sheffield United team we faced today are nowhere near as good as previous Sheffield United sides we've faced.

Between 2003 to 2006, we lost 3 games in a row to Sheffield United. In those 3 games, they had a far better team than us, going for promotion whilst we were in a relegation battle. In all of those defeats, we battled like hell. We competed, we went in for tackles, we made life as difficult as we could for them. I still picture the relief of David Unsworth when the final whistle went in December when Quinn scored the only goal in a 1-0 win to them. Despite United being a far better side than us, struggling Sheffield Wednesday gave them a game of football. Even in the one way traffic game at Hillsborough, when Dyer and Akinbiyi missed plenty of chances, we never gave up - there was never a 6 on 3 moment for example. I saw nothing of that today. I saw a team that threw the towel in after Campbell made it 1-0. That is totally unacceptable in a derby match. That was worse than the 0-0 under Luhakay (the Dawson pen save) I accept we're down, I expected United to win. But I do not accept a weak belly tickling performance that Wednesday put in today. 3-0 flattered those players wearing a blue and white shirt. Performances like that deserve a humiliation, which it should have been. 7-0 would have been a fair result to Sheffield United and it was only down to poor finishing, a questionable refereeing decision when Palmer wanted a red and white shirt, and the offside goal were Ingelsson looked as if he was playing him on. Had that been Coventry City, we would be enjoying a new record defeat.

I don't think Jewell ever managed Danny Maddix. He was signed by Peter Shreeves during pre season being Des Walkers' replacement in order to assist Leigh Bromby's development.

Strikers or inside forwards that take those chances when they come at a surprise would not be playing football at Sheffield Wednesday this season. I don't think he expected it to come to him. From what I saw on the screen, it was as if he was anticipating the ball to be collected by the keeper or cleared by the defender. A bad miss yes but one of those chances that I don't think many of our other players would have taken. Sickening though that straight after, our defence/midfield was in a position to give 20,000 double decker buses the freedom of the pitch, let alone Norwich being gifted an opportunity to equalise

That game reminded me of the many performances in the division below during our first season under Darren Moore. Created some good chances, but always looked like conceding from either a brain fart in defence or a rare attack by the opposition. Think a draw was a fair result. Both sides are very poor teams that don't look like they should be in the division they're in. Wednesday have a valid reason for being rubbish but I am amazed what has happened to Norwich especially with Manning in charge given he's a coach I rate.

He wasn't that bad at all, we've had worse. I'm certain had Fisher made that challenge 10 or 15 minutes after his first yellow, he would have received a second yellow card. Only think it was due to the time in between his first yellow and that next foul. Some would have given a 2nd yellow, he decided to give him a final warning.

Given the own goal and the foul for the penalty, you could make a case that the Celtic players were trying to get him the sack instead Surprised they haven't gone and got Big Ange back

He scored against Wednesday. Blades were disappointed he didn't get a 25 year contract just for doing that.

Had it not been for that nasty injury at Palace, Frank Simek would have been a regular starting right back for Aston Villa. A £3,000,000 deal I believe was all agreed for him to move there in the January transfer window Leigh Bromby had admirers from Chelsea but his let down was playing in a team with zero confidence and had some rather questionable professionals at the club. Shreeves, Jewell and Yorath all saw a potentially brilliant centre half but couldn't find that partner required for his game to develop to the level it could have been. Des Walker left, Danny Maddix and Ashley Westwood weren't quite at the races for us, and then Dean Smith showed his lower league career standards. Obviously it was Turners decision to move him on but out of all the ones that left, Bromby was a far better defender to keep than getting Guy Branston as his replacement

Should never have been signed. We didn't even need him given the strikers we had at the club. His career started going downhill when Blackburn Rovers hired Paul Lambert as manager. Think he only scored 1 goal under him before moving onto Middlesbrough for a huge amount His debut away at Wigan Athletic, he looked like he hadn't touched a ball in years. Although it didn't help that the tactics Carlos started using was awful to watch.
