  1. Sky commentator was obsessed with the points gap to Utd, talking it up as if the points deduction isn’t a thing too. Utterly bizarre.
  2. Iorfa looks close to blowing up at the minute. Just rash in all aspects, tonight and Sunday. Could do with a stint out the team. Must be the first time in a while he’s had a decent run without a break?
  3. KW said a few weeks back the structuring of the offers is equally as important as the final figure. Ashley’s bid could be the full £20m tomorrow, where the others are £30m staggered over a period of time. The fact £20m has been rejected out of hand however suggests the £30m offers must be fairly good ones. But it doesn’t mean Ashley is out of it, he might be in a better position to pay the £30m the others have offered. Still lot of unknowns and a long way to go!
  4. Ugbo’s missus has given birth. Phillips was likely the 19th man that travelled, probably for the warm up more than anything.
  5. Breaking News that’s 24 hours old. In all seriousness are Sky effectively okay in the media world to break something as theirs if they wait 24 hours after the actual source breaks it?
  6. This Rob Dorsett character that Sky have tasked with covering Wednesday must live at least a week behind everyone else. His last bit of ‘breaking news’ was in September and that a points deduction was coming for unpaid wages/fees/tax bills etc. We’ve been able to sign another free for the last 2 weeks, and the bids story was broken on Sunday night after the game.
  7. The spell he had out of the starting XI at the start of the season would suggest not. At one time Brown was ahead of him.
  8. Correct, but the narrative then within the fanbase was how great he was.
  9. Iorfa was a colossus 2/3 games back. The reality is you can’t expect consistency from him, at this level, for 46 games. He’s also never been the middle man in a back 3, but it’s been needs just since Weaver got injured and Otegbayo hasn’t stepped up. Thankfully Cooper should now take on that role, and Iorfa can be moved into a position where his deficiencies can be covered better. Realistically when Bernard is fit he’ll probably struggle for a game anyway.
  10. The goals are in the most part individual errors or lapses in concentration. You can’t coach that out of 30 year olds. They just aren’t cut out for the level they’re at. Look at Cooper today. Played no football for about 6 months, came in and looked head and shoulders above the others. He’s been available since July but nobody else has touched him, yet he’s an immediate upgrade to us.
  11. Said it on here a million times before, his performances when everyone deemed him a world beater were no different to what he’s put in since he signed permanently. The only difference is he isn’t scoring the goals anymore. I don’t think how we play ultimately suits him and I don’t think there’s enough in his game to contribute regardless of that. Same goes for Jamal Lowe.
  12. We’re as good as relegated, have been since July. New owners on the horizon that will undoubtedly have their own ideas on how the football club is structured going forward. Getting on the managers back about team selection, shape or style is utterly pointless. A Blade rung FH after the match and said he couldn’t see Pep getting a tune out of that Wednesday squad, and he’s bang on. Hammering Pedersen is wasted energy.
  13. Think he’ll struggle to hold his emotions considering the last few months at Wednesday. He made it clear with his history lesson, after the game in March, that there’s no bigger Wednesdayite in Sheffield than him. I’m expecting him to breakdown in happiness on FH later this week now Chansiri has gone. He’ll be crossing everything that the good times are coming back to Hillsborough.
  14. Penistone Road will be full of angry pointing and shouting again then. The Police must feel it’s easier to Police the crowd walking back to town than it is Policing the Tram Stops. Still unsure how this helps getting Utd fans to the game without any trouble. Bizarrely coming out is easier to handle with no trams, but going seems like they’re making hard work for themselves? Can only assume it’s a response to the crowds that gathered on Hillsborough corner waiting for the tram last time.
  15. Isn’t the idea of the 4 game package to tide people through until half season tickets go on sale? At which point you’d imagine they’ll be priced pretty much the same. Meaning ultimately anyone who buys the package, and then a half season ticket, will have paid the same per game as full season ticket holders have for the remaining games. In some cases possibly even less per game than people who bought in the latter ‘early bird’ phases.
  16. Think the EFL will try and push us into January. Only got to wait out 5 weeks and then it’s an easier decision for them, with the takeover hopefully having progressed some. We all know the squads been crying out for bodies since September but, as we saw with Chansiri, they’re exceptional at burying their heads in the sand.
  17. The fact it’s a midweek game is the only reason it’s not selling beyond 26k surely? I mean historically that’s a pretty good turn out for the club for a midweek league game. The crazy thing is the prices will be higher for the derby, but so will the attendance. It’s a shame we weren’t at home yesterday or next Saturday, that would’ve played into the hands of making a big fuss over a nothing game in footballing terms.
  18. Said it alot in the last year, but he didn’t actually do much in his loan spell outside of his goals. The games where he didn’t score, he was probably contributing the least in most games, as he is now. The only really bizarre thing for me since his loan spell is his positioning when we have the ball in the final third. A lot of his goals came from just goal hanging around the 6 yard box. If you watch him these days he drops off to the edge of the box an awful lot more, especially for someone who hasn’t scored a league goal in over a year. People always say hard work is the foundation when things aren’t going well. For me Ugbo just needs to get in amongst it again, forget trying to be something he’s not. Go back to playing on the last man’s shoulder and poo-lining. If he grabs another 6-7 goals off his arse after New Year again, the last 18 months are forgotten. But he’s not gunna score them staying well clear of the action like he is currently.
  19. Anyone complaining the £10k could be better used. See it like this, it’s £10k the club can now use for something better because it’s a cost that’s now been covered by folk on here. It’s money they don’t have to find anymore. Also, don’t take the specific cause too literal. The bones of it is that we’ve just raised £10k for the club to use HOWEVER they see fit.
  20. When I signed up to this site nearly 20 years ago, I never thought I’d see the day where the club’s OS would be thanking Owlstalk for anything!
  21. Done Hopefully that means Dom Iorfa isn’t hanging out of a single bed now
  22. Look at what happened with Lyon. He might pass the test, but he’s far from ‘Fit & Proper’. When you chuck in his reputation at Botafogo and the mess his influences created at Palace this summer too, no thanks.
  23. Could be wrong, but I think there’s something with the EFL about ticket pricing staying consistent across the ground. So if they dropped it for home fans, away would have to follow. Considering most teams are selling the away end out currently it’s probably wiser to just set every game at the lower end of the categories.
  24. Nearly 10k watching, massive… More than some of the local sides get for home games!
