Two and half years boycotting the club with the promise of going back when he went. Been to the Oxford, Norwich and today’s games with the wife and 10 year old daughter. The results are what they are, we were relegated before the season began. The little things that mean so much more though are when we get back home tonight, my daughter wants to watch Wednesday videos on YouTube. My two and half year self imposed exclusion meant the same for her. She lost interest but now she’s going again it’s all coming back. Boxing Day massacre, Wycombe promotion game and the Play-Offs in 2023 are some of the stuff we’ve watched. That’s what it’s about, and as Steve Bracknell said at the end of the video the club put out after the Oxford game “Sheffield Wednesday is you” For a long time it wasn’t, and the result was people being driven away. I’m connected with the club again, and so is my daughter. These kids are the future, just as we were when our parents took us along in those formative years. Up the Owls!

I've always been a fan of Redmond to be honest. Whenever I've seen him, he's always looked like a lad who was prepared to track back and help the team out, along with being a threat going forward. I'm sure that while ever he's pulling on a Wednesday shirt, he'll be no different.

I think it’s hilarious. Not a merger, but that the owners at United being the ones who’ve suggested it. Not only did they replace a manager with another one out of his depth, to then re-appointing the same bloke they sacked a few months earlier. They aren’t happy that they’ve decided to take down the images of former players from the back of the main stand. Someone ought to keep an eye on our club shop. I’m fully expecting their owners to snap up the remaining ‘dream scene’ prints and have them installed facing the car park at the lane.

I won’t be able to attend the Derby County and Hull games so taking up the offer won’t be any good to me, but its a fantastic idea for those who can, and especially with Christmas around the corner. I’ll go to the Preston and Blackburn matches though, and now knowing that the cost for both will be the exact same, it allows us to budget for those.

I don’t mind paying £30 on the Kop for the Preston game. Yes I’d love it to be cheaper, but looking down the road from me, League Two Notts County charge £24 for a similar view on their Kop. Im not doing the pigs game, £40 each for me and the wife along with another £15 for my ten year old is a bit too much for us at the current time, and with it being on TV, it at least allows me to watch the game, albeit not being the same as being there. I don’t blame the club for it, as clearly the demand is there to do it. I must say that allowing members to attend the derby for £30 on the Kop is a smart move.

Albeit with a strong team for that level, in 22/23 a 15 point deduction would have seen up drop from third to fourth. 70 points over 46 games and 15 point deduction would most likely see us safe.

I noticed that last night on the Kop. Its been over two years since I sat on there for a night match and it definitely seemed a lot brighter whilst the game was on.

Some people are just suited to certain football clubs. Martin O’Neill, despite being in his 70’s is one of them. He’ll bring some fire back into the squad.

I never got the obsession with either of them anyway.
