  1. Rich coming from a Wednesday fan but Spurs are so pointless aren't they. Such a mid tier team
  2. Not sure I agree with this lucky narrative, personally. You still have to beat these trams and they have comfortably. They've found their confidence again, which is a massive shame.
  3. Called it a while back they will sneak in there. Hopefully we see Ipswich and Soton strengthen in Jan and make those play offs difficult.
  4. They will win today. Leicester are trash
  5. I can't recall which games were hosted where. I just know they have had games there previously.
  6. Wonder why no Brammall Lane? Don't they host the odd England Women's game?
  7. I can't believe people are suggesting we say goodbye to Bannan and Palmer, should they want to stay. After everything they have done this season they deserve another year. Their experience will be key, both on the field and off. Even if they are not guaranteed starters week in, week out.
  8. I'll take that until Jan. Experience and if he's fit should give us a different option. If notz we say thank you and good luck.
  9. I take it with confidence that Derby have won 6 out of 7 and still not in the PO's. 10 Point gap isn't huge but the number of trams above them is. So they need to win 4 more than all of those above them to get in there. But with Ipswich or Southampton looking like they will be in there and will both likely strengthen in January it's not going to be an easy ride.
  10. Southampton have picked up. Those playoffs could be tasty this year with at least two of Boro, Ipswich, Soton in there. Can seethe latter two looking to strengthen in January for the final push. Makes me feel a little better should the pigs manage to scrape themselves into them.
  11. I don't agree with all the "It's jut an ordinary game against a poor Wednesday team". A Steel City Derby is a Steel City Derby - I'm sure we would all be revelling in beating them if roles were reversed and if you say you wouldn't, you're only kidding yourselves. All we can do is just put it behind us and hope that this new takeover gets sorted ASAP and we have some good times ahead - We would really overtake them if it's done right. They could be in a world of sh** financially next season.
  12. Well we managed to beat Portsmouth, so I'm not holding much hope there.
  13. What if the largest pence in the pound return bid is from someone the Administrators don't think will pass the EFL test?
  14. Exactly my first thought. Definitely something the Americans would want (not all of them).
  15. Sorry, I should have rephrased. Highest bidder doesn't necessarily get the club. Other factors will be in play.
  16. What we have to remember is, the highest bidder is not likely to be the one who takes control. The administrators job isn't to find the "highest bidder" for the club. There's many more factors to it and we don't have a clue who any of them are.
  17. But I thought these new owners approached the Prince recently to ask for his help? Or maybe that translates to "New owners failed to pay the Prince, who when asked for his money was told they couldn't afford it and they are looking for a buyer and will pay him once the deal is complete"?!
  18. Grief can do strange things to people and it's even more telling when times get hard. I'm not going to dismiss his death has rocked them a little.
  19. Technically, he is British. Shame he picked France instead though as he really does look a talent.
  20. Keep forgetting Frank went there. I expected Brentford to struggle having lost him and some of their better players but they seem pretty comfortable whilst Spurs are still... Spursy
  21. They had been after him all window but Palace held firm. Unfortunately though he wasn't their number one priority, Isak was. It was a very odd window for them when you look at it. They bought a player Newcastle wanted in Ekitike - had they not done this, the Isak transfer may have gone through sooner. They sold a very solid performer in Diaz. Continued in their quest for Isak, knowing they won't be playing two up top, rendering the Ekitike signing useless. Palace told them to F off at the last minute for Guhehi. I think they believed this move would go ahead, no matter what. Hence why they just kept toying with Palace.
  22. Did they buy Isak from Wish? Absolutely shocking transfer so far, chased him all summer, spent an absolute bomb on him and he's, well... So far bombed. Still surprised they let that Luis Diaz goz thought he was a brilliant player.
  23. I think there is a penalty to pay unless mutual. At the end of the day the parent club has financed based on said player out at another club who are paying X wages. Can't see them wanting to take that fee back on unless they either a) want the player for their first time or b) can find a similar or better offer elsewhere
  24. If it's a season long loan the parent club has to agree to them returning, I think. The younger ones will probably go back, I assume Vila for example would rather Barry be playing. Godfrey not so simple. His parent club (Everton?) will probably weigh up the financial side of it. If there's no other likely suitors willing to pay the same wage for him.
