  1. I agree. We can't pick and choose here.
  2. That sounds like a bit of an ego thing tbh. "Look at us diehards getting a pat on the back from the home support during these perilous times." As I say, if the club in no way financially benefits from our fans traveling, then I don't see any issue. If the club does receive some sort of financial benefit, then...
  3. Right, so do the club actually make any money out of away games or not? Cause, if they do, then serious consideration needs to be given to boycotting everything. You can't really have people from the Trust telling people to boycott home games whilst they're off on their travels to wherever.
  4. Got to keep boycotting. That's the only way. Starve him off cash and it will eventually catch up to him. He can't just live off basic payments from the EFL and what have you forever surely. The more he runs into the ground, the more fans will desert what's left of this football club. Let's be honest, it's practically dead now anyway.
  5. And yes, no one should be shocked to find out that the EFL's only concern is whether Sheffield Wednesday can turn up every Saturday and certain Tuesdays to get beat handily.
  6. They'll just hit us with more fines and what not. Not to say it shouldn't be considered, but I don't think it will expedite a sale.
  7. It's a crazy situation and I don't know how it ends tbh. Unless the regulator can remove him, then I think the club will eventually go under tbh. Chansiri can continue to devalue what remains of the club, but eventually he will be left with pretty much nothing.
  8. Tbf, Hearts might mix things up a bit over the next few years. Tony Bloom overseeing them is quite significant.
  9. EFL basic payment then. Shambles.
  10. Beevers was touted as the next big thing... I suppose he was quite tall.
  11. I am quite enjoying the characterisation of Danny as a "hipster." This on the basis he's in his mid-30s.
  12. I mean, Danny is used to working at a basket case football club, but still... I know online fans don't always represent the views of the proper fanbase, but you'd be having some second thoughts about taking the job, wouldn't you? That's assuming he is offered it, as I read they've now drawn up a shortlist.
  13. Yeah, Sky don't get more money based upon additional viewers.
  14. Yep. Him refusing to wear the traditional Rangers' garb on the touchline got their backs up. I suspect Danny would be smart enough not to do that.
  15. Amazing. Shame their last game is against Croatia, whilst the Czech's are up against pointless Gibraltar. Still, some effort.
  16. ******** Advocaat, Martin O'Neil, Brendan Rogers, Walter Smith and so on...
  17. He's a better manager than Brendan Rodgers?
  18. Problem for Röhl is, if he's offered the job, everyone (including their fans) know he wasn't first choice because Gerrard turned it down again. He would have to hit the ground running, or they will go at him like they did at Martin. Whilst it wouldn't be accurate, be very easy to characterise him similar to Martin - a young manager from down south who has managed in the Championship.
  19. They probably would do atm, but it's still a big job. Yes, the SPL is a bit crap, but you can't downplay how big the Old Firm are.
  20. Plus, the one trophy he did win was the season where there were no fans in the ground.
  21. It was an article about Rangers, not a Danny Röhl biopic.
  22. I'm reading that is the second time that Gerrard has turned down the chance to come back to Ibrox. Thing is, he's been absolute sh*t in the two jobs he's had since, and one of them was managing in the Saudi league ffs. I know he was the manager who won them their last title, but I think it's testament to how crap Rangers are that they were all getting super excited about his return.
  23. Was going to say. That's pretty much what happened. Think it's quite laughable how we have quite a few who think taking on the Rangers' job would be a backwards step. All the usual stuff about being a pub league etc., you know, cause the Championship is just awash with quality week in week out isn't it. The big issue with Rangers is whether Röhl would be able to turn it around and be afforded the time to do so. Looks like a lot of their fans (admittedly online) are already against him getting the job and it was similar for Russell Martin.
