  1. The impression that I got from the manager's post match interview on RS is that there were 3 designated penalty takers for the match. He seemed to be saying that the one who was feeling most confident at the time would take it and that giving the lad a hat trick wasn't part of it.
  2. Done. I just think Barry deserves a good night's sleep
  3. I feel so emotional. I was really starting to doubt if I would ever see Wednesday again. I didn't renew for this season and tomorrow will now be my first match back. The tears will be pouring down my face. I don't have sufficient words to express my gratitude to the Trust, I am simply in awe of their dedication and how they have simply got so much spot on.
  4. All those who were there deserve great credit. I thank you
  5. Just wondering. Could the fans' groups refuse to take part unless the owner is prepared to condescend to being in the same room as them, instead of hiding on the other side of the world as he has been doing while the football club disintegrates? If he won't, then that makes a mockery of the word 'engagement'. If he does dare to show his face in Sheffield, well..... I, for one would like to ask him which football or financial professionals have confirmed that his valuation is realistic.
  6. Agreed, though my opinion of any other Thai national is not affected by the incompetence of one individual. His inability to treat people with respect is an embarrassment to the whole Thai nation. Not sure how much recognition Del Boy will get in Bangkok. There was a small home made Save Wednesday From Chansiri flag on Saturday, that might have more traction.
  7. I absolutely take your point. This is from https://phangngaelephantpark.com/thai-elephant-history/ 'Asian elephants have been a symbol of Thailand since ancient times and these magnificent animals are currently recognized as part of the national identity. Elephants have played an important part in Thailand’s history and today the Thai elephant (“chang” in spoken Thai) is an enduring symbol of Thailand. The elephant also has special spiritual significance with its deep associations with Buddhism and Hinduism' so it seems that using that symbol would be shooting ourselves in the foot. The more we alienate people, the less effective we will be.
  8. Having been on three marches through the park so far, I am sorely tempted to travel from Derbyshire. It does need to be a focussed protest though, with a clear idea of objectives. If the aim is to get coverage in Thailand, then think about what coverage in the UK there is for demonstrations outside British embassies worldwide. I suspect that the things that will get covered, like the burning of effigies or whatever, will result in people being moved on by the police pretty quickly. I know people will say, well what's your idea then..... and I haven't come up with much more so far than a headless blue and white striped elephant and a banner reading ' 158 years of history, 10 years of incompetence'. Any Wednesdayites in Thailand can really help here with a better understanding of Thai culture. Of course, if the aim is UK coverage, then it's much simpler.
