I just think his consortium wanted the club on the cheap.

I think we will get a much better owner this time (though let's be honest most would be better than the last idiot). Though how much investment and ambition they will have just feels like a lottery. We need tens of millions ploughing into the training facilities and stadium to drag them into the modern era. As ever we'll just have to wait and see. I for one will get behind the new owner, we really have no choice.

For the EFL this is the aim - absolute punishment if you are an owner that breaks the rules. They care not about the actual competition itself. Or the fans.

I think this is a key point. If Ashley becomes owner he will HAVE TO put money into the club to get ANYTHING back. This is because we have nothing except our loyal fanbase left. The squad is bare bones. Stadium decaying. 1980s standard training facilities. Soon to be L1.

If they're putting money into the club then I don't personally care. The club could make a packet at the kiosks selling prawn sarnies!
