  1. Add dem Gammons to your Pigs and Blunts titles MO. They don't like to hear their stadium called Beautiful Downtown Mogadishu either.
  2. Prepare for a blast of Mind the Gap from dem Blunts
  3. Walked from Arbourthorne that day calling at the Traveller's Rest on City Road to meet a few of S2's finest
  4. What have the numbers been like on match days in the Tap and 1867 Lounge?
  5. Did I see on the map that you posted that there is a sales point on Catch Bar Lane?
  6. We went one up after 4 minutes and the manager at the time, Danny Williams, said we scored too early
  7. Ditto the above. I was a 14 year old too but attended the game alone as my school was in S2 and most of my school/class mates were all Blunts. It was an atrocious night result and weather wise. Got absolutely soaked to the skin on the Kop and vividly remember City didn't seem too fussed to be playing as they were in the Cup Winners Cup final the following week. City could have had it wrapped up though by half time but Doyle, I think, fluffed a penalty. I'm sure he pointed to the side of the goal where he was gonna put it and Grummit saved it. Nightmare journey home too. Pi55 wet through and got crushed getting on one of the football special buses that used to pick up on Parkside road. Finally got home after what seemed hours to be greeted by my mother who just sternly said 'bleeding Wednesday' as she passed me a towel. She couldn't look me in the face and was more upset than I was over that result.
  8. Ok, cheers Andy. I was 20 at the time and the scenes at full time is about all I can remember of the game. Too many slurps at the time and a lot more under the bridge since
  9. Who scored the winner? I allus thought it was Prendo but my mate said Potts goal kept us up
  10. I wonder if the Chancer is thinking about allocating the North Stand to Grimsby for this fixture? Extra numbers in attendance for his Fisherman Friends
  11. Do any Thais actually read the Bangkok Post? It's an English publication aimed at the farang expat. With a circulation of 110,000 for a population of 76 million it's probably not landing on many Thai doormats.
  12. Even shorter and to the point.... Ting tong Dejphon Dejphon ting tong To the tune of Pompey Chimes. Might even get a little chortle out of the Thai contingent in the Leicester director's box.
  13. Or maybe the richest man in Pattaya could be approached to fund a short flight over the Bangkok area where DC lives? Maybe trailing a banner in Thai with the appropriate message
