  1. We cant have it both ways, a young player with a handful of championship matches plays well first half, scores goals, everyone thinking its only initial glimpses but a season of this and we might be able to think about selling on for a profit. Misses penalty, ffs why are we letting players gain championship experience and inevitably make mistakes, we need the finished article
  2. True. Don't hear many people complaining about the atmosphere in German grounds though.
  3. Whatever the long term plans, would love to see work to get the 2000 capacity in west lower for away fans. Then price the tickets to sell out as much as possible in home stands and West upper. Always think fans in west lower make the ground look better and atmosphere improve. Distracts from how dated that end looks when its empty.
  4. This but maybe cadamarteri up top for more physical presence. Could see it ending up more a 5 - 4 - 1 formation the way prestons forms going at the moment
  5. Id like to think Ashley is a backstop type of offer. If all else falls through he'd pick us up cheap as an alternative to going out of business. Hopefully given the admins apparent confidence and number of offers that won't be the case and the new owners will be a complete game changer. Both in terms of finance but also I really hope in terms of professionalism and competence at running a modern football operation. Having said that I'm sure Ashley could afford £100million+ if he suddenly had an irrational desire to get back into football.
  6. Something like this in blue and white would be nice if being really ambitious
  7. Must be some journalistic licence there, surely no Wednesday fan says it!
  8. Exactly this, if Everton can build a ground in a dock on the Merseyside estuary I'm pretty sure some earthworks to level up a bit of hillside in Sheffield isn't beyond a possibility
  9. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/nov/22/sheffield-wednesday-sheffield-united-steel-city-derby-history-championship Nice write up of the derby. But come on who said they respected Wilder....
  10. Wouldn't be against that, although the quality and number of kiosks and toilets in the tkop would need improvement to justify it think
  11. I'm still surprised our previous owner didn't have dynamic pricing per seat based on his opinion of quality of view!
  12. Although price is the main thing, another thing I think would help with attendance is scrap most of categories. Just have two. One higher price for 9 games for local teams/big games. One lower category for the remaining 14 games. And also important categorise all matches at start of season and advertise it. Everyone knows the price - 'this is what it costs to go to a match this season' - and people who are out of the habit of going will gradually find out by word of mouth.
  13. Probably wanted to cling on longer..... but judging by the evidence on Instagram posted on here went on holiday to Shanghai instead. Then when got back it was too late
  14. The only thing chansiri did well was to be so inept, or careless, that the club was effectively able to be taken off him without having to wait for the regulator to do it. So glad the admin team are running the sale process in a professional way being as transparent as possible with fans as opposed to the DC alternative which would just never have reached a conclusion.
  15. Think £20s plenty campaign is long gone these days. Been to see Harrogate Town recently, league 2 £23 standing... £26 for a seat! Don't think 30 is bad really and members get £5 off too. Be interesting how members priced for the bundle. 4x£5 off or something different maybe?
